Fall 2013 Fraternity/Sorority Report

Educational Programming  Order of Omega planned and hosted the Fall 2013 Greek New Member Orientation.  Interfraternity Council, with support from Athletics, the office of Academic and Community Conduct, and Institutional Equity, brought speaker Adam Ritz to campus to address topics such as: making smart choices, hazing, alcohol awareness, and sexual assault.

Recruitment & Membership . 92 New Members (42 female & 50 male) . 12 Greek students were inducted into Order of Omega.

Involvement Homecoming 2013 Highlights include: . A number of the Homecoming 2013 Court were Greek: . Austin Fisher – Sigma Phi Epsilon . Jannah Brandt – Theta Chi Epsilon and sponsored by Phi Kappa Tau . Homecoming Queen 2013 – Rebecca Manshaem, Delta Zeta and sponsored by Delta Sigma Phi . Sigma Tau Gamma won the Men’s Division . Alpha Sigma Tau won the Women’s Division . Alpha Sigma Tau won Overall IFC Holiday Lights Competition: . First Place – Beta Sigma Theta . Second Place – Sigma Tau Gamma . Third Place – Lambda Chi Alpha

Service . 173 Greek members from 15 organizations served during Make A Difference Day. . 64 Greek volunteers hosted the Welcome Week Blood Drive with 316 pints donated.

Organization Updates . Kappa Delta Psi was found not responsible for violating University policy during Fall 2013. . The following organizations were found responsible for violating University policy during Fall 2013 and are currently on probation: . Delta Sigma Phi . Sigma Tau Gamma . Tau . Theta Tau was found responsible for violating University policy and has been placed on organizational suspension for five years. (Pending Appeal) . The following organizations are no longer on Academic Probation: . Tau Kappa Epsilon . Delta Sigma Phi

As of January of 2014, NO fraternities or sororities are on academic warning or academic probation with Student Activities. All have achieved a cumulative average of 2.50 or above.
