He had just received 7,000 faithful at the Shrine of Pompeii the previous day. He then detoured to Rome to meet us, as we prayed in earnest for Australia. Fr Stefano Gobbi is an old man now, 75 years old. In 1997 he had a massive heart attack and can no longer travel to far-off places like Australia. But he wishes he still could, so when he knew a group of Australian pilgrims was coming to Rome he made a special effort to spend time with us. Fr Gobbi‟s Message for Australia: His message to us was so simple, yet precious and important. He spoke of the big battle which goes on in the world between Mary and her followers and Satan and those who follow him. I recorded his talk to us so let me quote some of it: ”Prayer!! The devil hates it. Through the media, TV, newspapers etc. he fills our minds with many things. Then we talk about what we have seen, heard and read. We talk and we talk and we wear ourselves out and we have no time to pray. This state of affairs affects the faithful, it affects Priests, it affects Religious consecrated to God. Mary, on the other hand, gives us the grace to pray, she give us the desire to pray more.

Various non-Christian writings suggest that female apparitions could be factors in the coming ecumenical unity. Goddess worship has existed throughout history and has a large following in the 21st century. How could the Queen of Heaven have any influence on the millions of Muslims who follow Allah? Those who have studied the Muslim’s holy book, known as the Koran, may be aware of the answer. And what about the New Age book entitled Mary’s Message to the World which contains hundreds of revelations from a manifestation calling herself Mary, which falls in line with both New Age thinking and Eastern religious beliefs.

Finally, this book landed in the hands of a Chinese, an Austrian Italian priest recommended this book to me. I, read with emotions , how sad it was not yet translated into Chinese. May more hearts be touched. I encountered He and I when I was around 14 years old. This would have been the mid 70's and an older "Jesus freak" recommended I read it. It had a profound impact on my relationship with the Father and the Son, second only to the Bible itself. It helped me by affirming how personal the relationship was meant to be, that He is always present and available, that no formalism is required to enter into His presence.

  • Corpus Christi Cenacle
CORPUS CHRISTI CENACLE A Eucharistic Springtime in Every Parish Pope Benedict XVI A Eucharistic Future According to St. John’s Last Supper account, Our Lord calls his Church to a Eucharistic sanctity. This is especially clear in his image of the vine and the branches. Vatican II has emphasized the universal call to holiness [LG V], and particularly to a Eucharistic holiness since the Eucharist is the source and summit of Christian life [LG 11]. Thus the evangelization efforts to which Vatican II calls us is to be centered on the Eucharist. Bl. John Paul II developed this theme throughout his pontificate. In Ecclesia de Eucharistia he declared that by this encyclical he wanted to “rekindle Eucharistic amazement” once noted in many parts of the Church. Pope Benedict XVI expressed the same sentiment in a 2010 discourse: “I would like to affirm with joy that today there is a ‘Eucharistic springtime’ in the Church … I pray that this ‘Eucharistic springtime’ may spread increasingly in every parish.” Similarly, there have been reports of several extraordinary appeals in modern times from Our Lord and Our Lady concerning Eucharistic and Marian spirituality. Obviously the tableau of the apparition at Knock, Ireland with its image of the Lamb on an altar surrounded by angels, with Our Lady, St. Joseph and the Apostle St. John is clearly Eucharistic and Marian. Nor should we forget the famous vision of St. John Bosco where he saw two columns rising in the midst of an extremely turbulent sea that was threatening a large ship with the Pope directing it between these columns.

O'Connor: The Roots of Pope John Paul II's Devotion to Mary THE ROOTS OF POPE JOHN PAUL II'S DEVOTION TO MARY* In a world threatened by nuclear holocaust and ecolog ical disasters, its monetary system tottering under the weight of unpayable debts, and masses of people growing restive under inequitable economic systems and repressive govern ments, with starvation threatening the poorer nations and terrorism disturbing the wealthy, Pope John Paul II pro claimed 1987/88 a Marian Year. This appeared to some as the futile gesture of a sentimental man out of touch with the problems of the real world and its centers of power. But such a view hardly fits a man who endured the Nazi occupation of Poland during his youth and then spent most of his adult life contending effectively with a Communist re gime propped up by the Russians.

  • Mary's Presence in the Mass According To
Mary’s Presence in the Mass according to St. John Paul II: Precedents and Comparisons Msgr. Arthur Burton Calkins, STD I. Introduction Over the course of several years I was engaged in mining the riches of Pope Saint John Paul II’s magisterium on Mary’s presence in the Mass, which constitutes an extraordinarily rich and original body of teaching. In fact, no other pope had ever come close to teaching what he did, building on Mary’s presence and active participation in the sacrifice of Calvary. My first article on this topic was published in the Homiletic & Pastoral Review in July of 1997.1 Almost ten years later, having discovered a good number of new texts from John Paul II on this matter, I gave a paper, which was published in the sixth volume entitled Mary at the Foot of the Cross.2 Finally, I developed a third redaction of the latter text with a more extended section on the roots of his teaching on Marian mediation as found in his encyclicals Redemptoris Mater and Dives in Misericordia, which was published in the liturgical journal Antiphon.3 The most solemn, fundamental and essential form of John Paul’s teaching on this subject is to be found in his last encyclical, Ecclesia de Eucharistia §57, in which he states “Do this in remembrance of me” (Lk. 22:19). In the “memorial” of Calvary all that Christ accomplished by his passion and his death is present. Consequently all that Christ did with regard to his Mother for our sake is also present.

MARIAN MOVEMENT OF PRIESTS PO BOX 636 CASTLE HILL NSW 1765 AUSTRALIA AMDG February 2, 2020: Feast of the Presentation of the Lord Dear Members of the Marian Movement of Priests, It’s a joy and privilege writing this New Year’s message as we begin this new decade, which will be of great importance as we move towards the definitive triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Our Lady will continue to give us the 20/20 spiritual vision needed to understand the urgency of Her Book and more importantly to live our three commitments as members of Her Movement and thus being faithful to her request to “multiply her cenacles”. Every year, as we move closer to the end of the year, the world celebrates two very significant events with more emptiness, even though the origin of our Judeo-Christian heritage is deeply rooted in them. In the Blue Book, Our Blessed Mother frequently reminds us of the beauty and truths of these two events that should be a startlingly and obvious sign to the pagan world. First is the birth of Our Divine Saviour, a birth that was so significant, the world eventually came to use it as a reference point for our dating system. The second event reinforces His birth as we move forward into a brand-new year, in fact, every reference to the date hinges upon His birth. Despite this truth, the Herods of this world, spreading the errors of Russia (155d), obstinately deny this truth: at Christmas with “unbridled materialism” (387j) and New Year’s Eve by conditioning us to party hard and thus be “intoxicated with emptiness” (32 & 441).
