Dear Glenn, Thank you for this wonderful website. It has been such a help to my Faith. You mentioned in a comment that He and I is one of your top 5 favourite books. I was wondering what the other 4 are. I love this book. Thank you Glenn. Gabrielle Hennessy. Hi Gabrielle, Thanks for your commentsI'm happy to hear that yu are enjoying the website. My other favorites are the Autobiography and Diary of St Gemma Galgani which can be read in their entirety for free on my St Gemma Galgani website, for those interested. Gemma's autobiography and diary made a big impression on me. Boyer, along with Fr. Just my. Thanks again for your comments and may God bless you and your loved ones, Glenn. Finally, this book landed in the hands of a Chinese, an Austrian Italian priest recommended this book to me. I, read with emotions , how sad it was not yet translated into Chinese. May more hearts be touched. I encountered He and I when I was around 14 years old. This would have been the mid 70's and an older " freak" recommended I read it. It had a profound impact on my relationship with the Father and the Son, second only to the Bible itself. It helped me by affirming how personal the relationship was meant to be, that He is always present and available, that no formalism is required to enter into His presence. It is so personal that He feels our pain when we cause Him to dwell with our sins. He also shares in our moment to moment joys and appreciations of existence. Post a Comment. Gabrielle Bossis -He and I. Gabrielle Bossis —Laywoman and mystic of the 20th century The source for this information is from the excellent book "He and I" by Gabrielle Bossis, , translated by Evelyn M. Gabrielle Bossis was a Catholic Mystic and layperson who lived in France in the 20th century. Born in Nantes, France in , she was the youngest child of a family of four children. As a child in a well to do family, she was taught and raised in proper social graces and etiquette, and she grew up to be a graceful, happy and high spirited young woman, but as from her childhood she possessed a strong yearning for God and the things of the Spirit. She obtained a Degree in Nursing, and enjoyed the fine arts of that time, including sculpting, painting, illuminating and music. Later in life she discovered that she had another talent- that of writing moral plays and also acting. From that point on until two years before her death she traveled extensively in France and abroad, producing her own plays and acting in the principal role. Those who still remember her remark about her infectious laughter and her unfailing charm. On very rare occasions in her early life, Gabrielle had been surprised by a Mysterious Voice, which she heard and felt with awe, and sometimes anxious questionings, which she perceived to be the Voice of Christ. It was only at the age of 62, however, that this touching dialogue with the "Inner Voice" began in earnest, continuing at least in her notes until two weeks before her death on June 9, The journal that she kept of her dialogue with the Inner Voice has been published in numerous languages under the title "He and I" see note above and has become a source of deep inspiration and edification for those who read it. Below are a few excerpts from this extraordinary dialogue between "the Inner Voice" and Gabrielle April 12, In the [train] station at Angers. Coming from Paris I had a seat in spite of the dense crowd. Even in the tumult I draw them into solitude where the heart is on the alert to hear the Beloved. Didn't I say to them in the past, 'When I sent you out without purse or staff did you lack anything? Wish to be cured of this lack of carefulness in My service. Take frequent stock not only of the value of your actions, but above all, of the value of your motive in doing them - the forthrightness of your will to glorify Me. You would be more faithful in the details - these precious details that can earn so much. They are the specks of goodness that fill life Take great care in the very little things, My Gabrielle. Say to yourself, 'They are made to the Measure of My little nature'. And this thought will keep you humble. Put all your heart into it, knowing that you please Me. You can give Me glory in that time. At church. I had seen flowers of all kinds at the edge of a ditch. I shall look lovingly at them just as you looked at the flowers in the underbrush. Tell yourself that love alone can make fresh wonders spring forth. Don't divide yourself into two - one part for you and the other for Me - since I long to have all of you and cherish this hope. Your love quenches My thirst. So don't withhold a thing. Don't take anything of yourselves away. You would steal from Me if you did, because everything is Mine. If I require this of you it is because My yearning for you is a consuming fire. And My yearning is born of My love. Do you understand? Do you at last believe? Do you acknowledge My power to love? And if Mine is a love beyond all others, then how could you fail to go beyond your usual ways of loving to make your home in the higher realms - the realms where all is simplicity in our oneness. Above all when you know that it is there that I'm waiting for you and that great is My need to Meet you. Meditate on this need of Mine and you will call to mind that it is in your power to give Me this alms. What inexpressible joy will be His who receives it. And I shall reply, 'You loved Him with all your strivings and you let Him love you'" April 26, - 'Lord, Your poor little girl, Your poor image is here before you, yearning for You with all the strength of her being. They spend so much time this way and it does them so little good. Don't you think that if they gave themselves to Me, their Friend, I should rejoice to have My place in their thoughts and I should know how to reward their confidence in abundance? Don't you think that it would create a moment-to-moment intimacy between them and Me, and this would be a joy for them, because close to Me their lives would lose their tension. You understand? It would be life together with Me- I carrying the heavy end of things. So again I say: speak with Me, My little ones. Speak with Me. And our hearts will Merge. Isn't this the aim of My Christians? Isn't that why you want to die? Then begin living this heart-oneness. Seize upon every opportunity. Find every pretext. You aren't bold enough. For some of you it is because you are indifferent. But My close friends, why, why don't they call to Me from their heart's depths? If only their belief were less like unbelief! If their hope were fixed upon My help And if, in all simplicity, their love loved Me more. I should be there looking after everything in their day, and when night fell, their eyes would close again on My face. Admit that everything you have comes from Me. It's all a gift from Me, and not to display My power, not chosen at random, but by My most attentive love -chosen especially for you, My children -for your path in life, in order to help you reach the goal that is yours. Did you watch Me creating you? You see, you can have no idea of the tenderness that I pledged to your soul so long ago -from all eternity. March 21, -Holy hour "All night long I waited for you in My Eucharist -waited to give Myself to you in the morning. Why should this astonish you? You believe in My presence and a tabernacle, don't you? You believe in My immense love? Then put the two together. And when you wake up during the night, look at the One who is already longing for the dawn to bring you to Him. This will quicken your love and give you confidence in My power. Let Me profit by the days of your life, they are not many. Prolong Me in them as much as you can don't let a day go by without doing something for Me, for there is not a single day that I am not at work, you for your own happiness. Do you believe Me? You know how I love to forgive? You know how your confidence attracts My compassion? Your trust can win anything from My heart. Count on Me. Call Me. Don't you love your name? I love to hear Mine on your lips. Don't deprive Me. I am the sensitive One and you can never know how your gestures make music in My heart. Be afraid of hurting Me. Always try to give Me joy and above all don't imagine Me to be far off. You realize that I am in you, don't you? And if you do, why don't you think of Me more often? I was going to say, always. Then My longing for you, would be completely satisfied. I am the same for all people. They are all My children. I long for every one of them. So, in offering yourself offer the others to Me with My joy in mind. You make amends for yourself and you make amends for the ingratitude of so many others. Do they think of Me with a little affection even once a year? Do they accept the thought of My love for each one of them? When will you realize that time -the span of earthly life- is too short, that I need all eternity to love them? That this present life of theirs is not their goal, but only a Means given to them to earn the Alder life? Pray for them. You can do a great deal without seeing the fruit. But I see; I hear. I see that in helping others to arise you rise yourself. Come to Me and bring others with you. Look at My joy. No two souls are alike. None other can give Me what I expect from you. That is why I am so grateful to those who are resourceful and bringing back sinners to Me. Keep this in mind then. I gave My life for them in the most atrocious torture, for these poor beloved ones. A humble repentance, and they are already on My heart. So speak gently to them. Speak with tenderness. A brusque remark could drive them farther away. As always, I will be in you. You will look at Me and call Me and say 'speak through me'. I will be the listening Brother. But, come what may, remain steadfastly in My heart. Keep your eyes fixed on Me as you ask Me for advice, or as you tell Me that you love Me always. Remember that nothing happens without My permission, and be very calm and serene. There is nothing like serenity for convincing people of the Good. This was My response to the craftiness of the Pharisees. So, be calm in your soul, and happily docile to My will. As you look back over your life, don't you see that My will was always for your good? This is because I love you, and it's the same for everyone, since I love each of you individually. I see you all differently; I see every detail about you, do you understand? My love is not of global love. I need each one of you as though you were the only person in the world, as though the cosmos had been created for you alone, and My love is greater than the cosmos. The devil could not bear the thought of this foundation being accomplished. The sky changed from clearest day to the darkest night. The frightened sailors did not know what to do and thought all was lost. In fact, the ship seemed doomed. It was then that both aunt and niece saw in the raging waters a horrible and gigantic snake with seven heads, attempting to destroy the ship. Mariana screamed at seeing this and lost consciousness. Mother Maria prayed to God with all her soul, asking that if He truly willed that the foundation be accomplished, He quell the storm. As soon as Mother Maria said this prayer, Mariana opened her eyes and the light of day overcame the darkness. Mother Maria knew that Mariana had seen something during her faint and, retiring with her to a secluded place, asked her to relate all she had been shown. Then I saw a lady of incomparable beauty, garbed with the sun and crowned with stars and with a babe in her arms. In one of her hands she held a golden cross having a lance point. At that moment the serpent cried out all his horrible threats about not allowing the founding of the Order of the Immaculate Conception. Mother Maria understood all that this vision signified and was later to have a large medal cast depicting the scene. To this day, the nuns of the Immaculate Conception of Quito wear this medal over their habits. Arriving in Quito on December 30, , the foundresses were received with great joy and housed in a few of the inhabitable buildings of the convent, which was still under construction. Soon, several young girls of Quito began to request admission to the convent of the Immaculate Conception and the conventual life was in full bloom. As she pronounced her vows before Mother Maria Taboada on the day of her nuptials, she was taken up in a sublime ecstasy. While on earth her lips formed the words for the formula of her vows and her body remained supple for the clothing, her soul was in the presence of God Our Lord. Our Lord Jesus presented His own cross to His spouse and showed her all the enormous sufferings, persecutions, sicknesses, and temptations she would undergo for His sake and ours. He preserved her only from temptations against purity. She was never to have a single thought or inclination against this angelic virtue. After her profession, Our Lord again appeared to Mother Mariana and gave her the schedule to be observed in the free hours of the community and the penances she should perform during the week. These penances were so severe that Mother Maria Taboada feared for her health. The penances practiced by this angel in human flesh can only be understood when we consider that she was called to be a victim for the twentieth century. For an example, she wrapped nearly her whole innocent body in wires with iron points, even her ears, leaving only her face and hands free. Thus she lived a penitential, prayerful life, ever increasing in virtue. Volcanic Cotopaxi peak rises majestically miles southeast of Quito and can be seen from the city. We come then to that day in the year when she was praying before her Eucharistic Lord and suddenly saw the church, except the main altar, immersed in darkness. The rest, until her painful death by means of three swords plunged into her heart as an expiation for the sins of our current century, we have related at the opening of this article. Mariana, always the first at all the acts of the community, did not appear on the day following her vision of Our Lord on His cross. Noting her absence, the abbess and the other nuns searched for her. They found her dead in the lower choir, her body already cold. The doctor, Don Sancho, and the Franciscan Friars who attended the convent were all called. Don Sancho confirmed that death had occurred and there was nothing to be done except give her proper burial. Outside, the people of Quito clamored at the convent doors to see the body of their beloved benefactress, for Mother Mariana had become well known in the town, having helped many with her counsels, penances, prayers, and even miracles. Mother Mariana appeared before the Divine Judge. Meanwhile, on earth, the prayers of Mother Maria and all her sisters as well as those of the Franciscan Fathers and the townspeople rose to the throne of the Holy Trinity. Sighing and weeping, they begged God to return her to them. Wishing to lend an ear to the supplications of these children on earth, Our Lord presented Mother Mariana with two crowns, one of glory and the other of lilies intertwined with thorns. He bade her choose one, making her understand that by choosing the crown of glory she would remain in heaven, as was her right, but by choosing the other, she would return to earth and resume her suffering. The humble virgin then asked her Beloved to choose for her. I want you to imitate me in this, for your life is very necessary for my Order of the Immaculate Conception. Hearing this, the humble virgin agreed to return to earth. She was to have a long life of incredible sufferings, since part of her mission on earth was to atone for the sins of our poor, chaotic, corrupted, and sinful century. Because Mariana of Jesus was destined for extraordinary graces all her life, Our Lord spared her nothing that could possibly contribute to her purification and perfection. Thus, on the night of September 17, , as Mother Mariana prayed, she received the holy wounds of Our Lord Jesus in her hands, feet, and side. She cried out and was left trembling, and had to be helped to her bed. The stigmata appeared in the palms of her hands and the soles of her feet like puncture wounds; on her side was a reddish-purple mark like a sword wound. After this, she sickened terribly and entered an excruciating trial. She could not move a single member of her body. Aggravating her sufferings, the devil did his utmost to break her by suggesting to her that her life had been in vain, a lie, a hoax. He prowled around her bed constantly in the form of a hideous serpent, the sight of which tormented her unceasingly. One night, no longer being able to bear this terrible five-month ordeal, she called on the Most Blessed Virgin. Then, feeling a hand caressing her head, she looked up to see the Queen of Heaven, beautiful, kind, and majestic in a nimbus of light. She could now move and no longer saw the hideous serpent. Her condition still worsened, however, and, to the distress of the entire community, she once again breathed her last. It was Holy Saturday and her body was laid in state in the low choir. Our angel is gone! Yet, the next morning as the community filed into the high choir to recite the Office they found her praying! Like her Divine Spouse, Whom she sought to copy in everything, she had been resurrected on Easter morning and returned to life once more to continue suffering for souls and for the world. In , feeling her health failing and wishing to prepare herself for her approaching end, which had been predicted to her, Mother Maria Taboada suggested that a new superior be elected. She had ruled for sixteen years by the unanimous wish of her convent, who thought no one more suited for the task than the holy foundress. Now, in deference to her wishes, they unanimously elected Mother Mariana of Jesus, trusting in her exalted virtue despite her being only thirty. She, as mother superior, guided the convent with great wisdom, prudence, charity, and goodness in the ways of the Lord, fulfilling every point of the holy rule, omitting nothing. Mariana knew she would still have her aunt with her for a while and took full advantage of her counsel and guidance. Several times both Mother Mariana and Mother Maria received revelations about the future of their convent. They knew each and every nun who would profess in their community to the end of the world. They knew that in every age there would be souls of great virtue, merit and holiness in this blessed house, but ungrateful and disobedient ones as well. The holy souls would divert great calamities from Ecuador and would maintain the faith burning even during the calamitous twentieth century. Since the order of the Immaculate Conception was like a branch on the tree of the Franciscan Order, this separation caused the faithful nuns most grievous suffering. In Mother Maria Taboada, who had been truly a mother to Mother Mariana and all those under her care, rendered her soul to God. She had suffered greatly before her death, and the community was inconsolable at the loss of their beloved foundress. Nevertheless, from heaven she continued to guide her monastery as she had promised in her last words before entering her agony. Then she had suddenly sat up in bed, all traces of the illness gone and her face as fresh and young as when she was thirty three, the age at which she founded the monastery. She had left them with the most touching of farewells, promising them continuing assistance from heaven. In fact, she frequently spoke with Mother Mariana in visions when the latter sought her guidance and counsel. Around this time Mother Mariana suffered cruelly with all the cares of her community. They lacked proper financial support, and the added cross of the threatening separation from the Franciscans inflicted a real martyrdom on her. In the early morning of February 2, , Mother Mariana was praying in the high choir. Prostrate with her forehead touching the floor, she implored help for her community and mercy for the sinful world. She then heard a sweet voice calling her name. Rising quickly, she beheld a most beautiful lady in an aura of light. On her left arm she held the Child Jesus and on her right a crosier of the purest gold adorned with such precious stones as are not to be found on this earth. Dost thou not know that I am but a poor nun, filled with love for God, true, but suffering and tried to the utmost? Precisely because you are a religious soul full of love for God and for His Mother who now speaks to you, I have come from heaven to sooth your burdened heart. Then the Mother of God showed her how her prayers and penances pleased God. She explained that she held the golden crosier in her right hand because she wished to govern the convent herself, and that the devil would do all in his power to destroy the convent by means of some ungrateful daughters of hers dwelling there. Under this invocation I wish, in the centuries to come, to perform miracles for the preservation of this, my convent, and its inhabitants. After having spent their lives unknown to all, they will be called to heaven to occupy an exalted throne of glory. She then revealed to Mother Mariana that hers would be a long and suffering life, but she bid her never lose courage. Clasping Him tightly to her heart, Mother Mariana felt the strength to suffer all for His honor and glory and the good of souls. During some of these apparitions she prophesied many things about the twentieth century. The ominous day predicted both to Mother Maria and Mother Mariana had arrived, the day in which their small flock would be separated from their divinely appointed shepherds. There had been new elections for a superior and Mother Magdalena of Jesus Valenzuela, the newly appointed prioress, lost no time in accomplishing this. This lady was not a bad person, but being weak, she often served as a tool in the hands of other nuns with evil intent. Quickly, she worked to annul the obedience to the sons of Saint Francis and to submit the direction of the monastery to the Bishop of Quito. This was a sad day for the heroic and saintly foundresses and all the obedient Conceptionists of that house. As the Franciscan Fathers said farewell, Mother Mariana and all the obedient nuns wept inconsolably. Nevertheless, they obediently submitted to the new authority. The Father Provincial of the Franciscans left them with words of encouragement and consolation, assuring them of their future return. For the unruly ones he left words of malediction. Immediately, with Mother Valenzuela at the helm but manipulated by the unruly faction, observance of the rule began to decline, prescribed times of silence were no longer observed, and abuses multiplied. Worried and afflicted in her heart with this situation, which defeated the true purpose of the conventual life, Mother Mariana humbly approached her new superior, begging as foundress and ex-prioress that these infractions and deviations be corrected for the good of the community. The secular ecclesiastical prelate now in authority over the convent heard of this appeal. But the rebellious faction made sure he received the worst possible report, making Mother Mariana out to be unruly, insubordinate, and much more. As a result, he ordered the innocent virgin to be imprisoned for three days. He also ordered that her veil be removed, that she receive a public scourging at meal times in the refectory, and that she eat kneeling on the floor. These three days were spent in a dark, underground prison. There, Sister Mariana had to expiate her perfect innocence. After three days, she was removed to a solitary room. The Spanish foundresses, unable to contain themselves seeing her suffering, visited her there. For this they were ordered to be incarcerated along with Mother Mariana for a full month. Others who showed solidarity with them also joined the holy foundresses in prison. At one time they were twenty-five thus paying for their fidelity. The central building is the Presidential Palace. The larger red arrow indicates the Convent of the Immaculate Conception, directly across the street. One night, a small cross that Mother Mariana had painted on the wall began to shine intensely. As the light increased marvelously to the astonishment of the innocent prisoners, the seven foundresses were each taken up in a sublime ecstasy and each shown a different vision. As an example of these visions, Mother Francisca of the Angels, one of the Spanish foundresses, saw their Seraphic Father, Saint Francis of Assisi, in a state of fury and going about the convent with a bow, shooting arrows right and left. As one of the arrows pierced the heart of one of the disobedient nuns, she fell dead instantly. She will be held accountable for all the sufferings and lack of observance of the rule in the centuries to come until the jurisdiction of the Franciscan family returns. Then the rule given us by Julius II will be perfectly observed. But I will see to it that in all times there will be souls who, loving the Seraphic Order, will sustain the regular observance of the monastery with their penitent and dedicated lives. The next morning, that nun was found dead in her cell, her face a blackish purple. The prisoners were made to carry her body for burial. Our Lord let him know how much He loved this house and that in it would live Eucharistic souls who would take upon themselves to offer reparation for the sacrileges committed against the Divine Victim. Thus did these holy souls spend those bitter days of imprisonment within their own house, persecuted, reviled, and abandoned by their own. Tortured by pity and remorse, Mother Valenzuela could no longer bear the thought of these innocent and holy nuns incarcerated in that awful place. She wrote a letter to the Bishop confessing her weakness in allowing the rebellious nuns to manipulate her and cause the imprisonment of these perfectly innocent women. The prelate was very upset on receiving this message. He reprimanded Mother Valenzuela severely and ordered the immediate release of the victims. On being released, the poor suffering souls humbly kissed the feet of their prioress and those of their persecutors. Despite this, it would take a veritable book to relate the continuing episodes of intrigue, calumny, and persecution stirred up by the father of lies against the faithful nuns. She will take them under her protection. Offer night prayer for them. You must be responsible for your family, leading them to Me, each in his own particular way. Ask for My graces on their behalf unceasingly. Alphonsus Liguori in the 18th century and is a beautiful prayer of spiritual communion, which can be adapted like this for each member of your family:. My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the most Blessed Sacrament. Since [he] cannot now receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into [his] heart. Never permit [him] to be separated from You. On Wednesday, pray for priestly vocations. Many young men have these desires, but they do not meet anyone to help them to gain the goal. Your night vigil will gain abundant graces. Ask Me for many young men with a fervent heart. You will get as many as requested because the desire lies in the soul of many young men, but there is no one helping them to realize their goal. Do not be overwhelmed. Through the prayers of the night vigil, you can obtain abundant graces for them. What if I cannot wake up to keep watch? She also spent many nights in prayer vigils. To rise from sleep cost me much. When my guardian angel wakes me, it is not effective. Listen to me, I beg you, do not let your mind be distracted during the night vigil, as it is an extremely useful exercise for the soul, elevating it to God. Make the required physical effort. I also did many vigils myself. I was the one who stayed up nights while Jesus was a little baby. Saint Joseph worked very hard so we would have enough to live on. You should also be doing it that way. On Thursday and Friday, offer a very special reparation to my Divine Son. This will be an hour for the family to make reparation. Begin this hour with a spiritual reading followed by the Rosary or other prayers in an atmosphere of recollection and fervor. Let there be at least two or three because my Divine Son is present where two or three are gathered. Start by making the Sign of the Cross five times, offering yourselves to the Eternal Father through the wounds of my Divine Son. Do the same at the conclusion. Sign yourselves this way when you get up and when you go to bed and during the day. This will bring you closer to the Eternal Father through my Divine Son filling your heart with graces. My Flame of Love extends to the souls in purgatory. On Friday, with all the love of your heart, immerse yourself in My sorrowful Passion. When you arise in the morning, recall what was awaiting Me the entire day after the terrible torments of that night. While at work, contemplate the Way of the Cross and consider that I did not have any moment of rest. Totally exhausted, I was forced to climb the mount of Calvary. There is much to contemplate. I went to the limit, and I tell you, you cannot go to excess in doing something for Me. On Saturday, venerate Our Mother in a special way with a very particular tenderness. As you are well aware, she is the Mother of all graces. Wish that she be venerated on Earth as she is venerated in heaven by the multitude of angels and saints. Seek for agonizing priests the grace of a holy death. Priestly souls will intercede for you, and the Most Holy Virgin will be waiting for your soul at the hour of death. Offer the night vigil for this intention also. These night vigils will save the souls of the dying and must be organized in every parish so someone is praying every moment. This is the instrument I place in your hands. Use it to blind Satan and to save the souls of the dying from eternal condemnation. I made this prayer completely my own. This prayer is an instrument in your hands. By collaborating with Me, Satan will be blinded by it; and because of his blindness, souls will not be led into sin. May our feet journey together. May our hands gather in unity. May our hearts beat in unison. May our souls be in harmony. May our thoughts be as one. May our ears listen to the silence together. May our glances profoundly penetrate each other. May our lips pray together to gain mercy from the Eternal Father. Now, Satan has been blinded for some hours and has ceased dominating souls. Lust is the sin making so many victims. Because Satan is now powerless and blind, the evil spirits are set and inert, as if they have fallen into lethargy. They do not understand what is happening. Satan has stopped giving them orders. Consequently, souls are freed from the domination of the evil one and are making sound resolutions. Once those millions of souls emerge from this event, they will be much stronger in their resolve to stay firm. I am going to record what the Blessed Virgin told me in [October of] this year, I kept it inside for a long time without daring to write it down. Hail Mary, full of grace. For her sake, you must place this prayer in the Hail Mary so that, by its effect, humanity is converted. This is not a new formula but a constant supplication. During November, one Hail Mary will free ten souls. When a father buys his son a new suit, he wants the son to be careful with the suit. At Baptism, my heavenly Father gave everyone the beautiful suit of sanctifying grace, but they do not take care of it. I instituted the sacrament of Confession, but they do not use it. I suffered indescribable torments on the cross and hid myself within a Host like a child wrapped in swaddling clothes. They must be careful when I enter their hearts that I do not find clothing that is torn and dirty. I have filled some souls with precious treasures. If they used the Sacrament of Penance to polish these treasures, they would shine again. I will have to raise a severe hand against them as their Judge. If you attend Holy Mass while under no obligation to do so and you are in a state of grace before God, during that time, I will pour out the Flame of Love of my heart and blind Satan. My graces will flow abundantly to the souls for whom you offer the Holy Mass. Participation in the Holy Mass is what helps the most to blind Satan. Whenever someone does adoration in a spirit of atonement or visits the Blessed Sacrament, as long as it lasts, Satan loses his dominion on the parish souls. Blinded, he ceases to reign on souls. Throughout the day, you should offer me your daily chores for the glory of God. Such offerings, made in a state of grace, also contribute to blinding Satan. This handout can be found at www. It is a work of love which the is stirring up in the Church today to help all her children to live, with trust and filial hope, the painful moments of the purification. In these times of grave danger, the Mother of God and of the Church is taking action without hesitation or uncertainty to assist first and foremost the priests, who are the sons of her maternal predilection. Quite naturally, this work makes use of certain instruments; and in a particular way, Don Stefano Gobbi has been chosen. The Marian Movement of Priests must be my work alone. Through this movement, I am calling all my children to consecrate themselves to my Heart, and to spread everywhere cenacles of prayer. Gobbi worked tirelessly to fulfill the mission Our Lady entrusted to him. By March of , about forty priests had joined the Marian Movement of Priests, and by the end of , Fr. Gobbi had boarded over air flights and taken numerous journeys by car and train, visiting five continents several times over. Today the movement cites membership of over Catholic cardinals and bishops, more than , Catholic priests, and millions of lay Catholics around the world, with cenacles of prayer and fraternal sharing among priests and lay faithful in every part of the world. Gobbi and celebrated Mass with him in his private Vatican chapel annually for years. The messages that Our Lady gave to Fr. The Marian messages to Father Gobbi seem to warn that this event and afterwards a promised Miracle and also a Chastisement or Punishment were to occur at the end of the twentieth century. But woe to them if they do not recognize this time of My visitation. Faustina, But now, it seems, God delays no further. The events that the Blessed Mother foretold to Fr. Stefano Gobbi have now begun. Mystics of the Church: Gabrielle Bossis -He and I

Joseph was also accentuated:. Joseph, I wanted to show you that later on the whole world should have a great love to the Most Chaste Heart of St. Joseph and to the Holy Family, because Satan would attack the families very profoundly in this end of times, destroying them. But I come again, bringing the graces of God, Our Lord, to grant them to all the families most in need of Divine protection. As has occurred in other Marian apparitions, such as in Fatima and Medjugorje, Our Lady revealed to Edson secrets that pertain to the destiny of the Church and the world, as well as very serious future events if humanity does not convert. Currently, there are nine secrets: four pertaining to Brazil, two for the world, two for the Church, and one for those who continue to live a life of sin. Our Lady told Edson that she will leave a visible on the Mount of the Cross next to the chapel in Itapiranga. On October 4, , appearing in front of the cross on the mountain next to the chapel, the Virgin said:. For those who do not believe, I wish to tell them that one day, where this Cross is, I will give a visible sign, and all will believe in my maternal presence here at Itapiranga, but it will be too late for those who have not converted. The conversion has to be now! In all the places where I have already appeared and continue to appear, I always confirm my apparitions so that there will be no doubts, and here in Itapiranga, my Heavenly manifestations will be confirmed. This will happen when my apparitions here at Itapiranga will end. All will see the sign given in this Cross; they will repent of not having listened to me, for having laughed at my messages and at my messengers, but it will be too late because they will have dissipated my graces. They will have lost the occasion to be saved. Pray, pray, pray! Dom Carillo Gritti, Bishop of the diocese of Itacoatiara, approved the phase of the apparitions as "supernatural" in origin on May 31, and personally laid the cornerstone of a new Sanctuary in Itapiranga on May 2, The messages to Edson Glauber, which total over pages, are highly consonant with many other credible prophetic sources, and have a strong eschatological dimension, have been the object of Many studies. Leading Mariologist, Dr. Since Dom Gritti's death in , there has been an as yet unresolved conflict between the diocese of Itacoatiara and the Association established by Edson Glauber and his family to support construction of the Sanctuary. The Diocesan Administrator contacted the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith and obtained a statement in to the effect that the CDF did not consider the apparitions supernatural in origin, a position also maintained by the Archdiocese of Manaus. Given that the apparitions are no longer formally approved but not formally condemned , it may legitimately be asked why we have nonetheless chosen to feature material received by Edson Glauber on this website. Additionally, the juridical actions undertaken by the CDF only restrict 1 official Liturgical promotion of Edson's messages, 2 "wider dissemination" of his messages by Edson himself or his 'Association' in Itapiranga, and 3 the promotion of the messages within the Prelature of Itacoatiara. We remain in full compliance with all of these directives; and, if his messages are formally condemned in the future, then we will remove them from this website. While it is true that Dr. Miravalle withdrew his book after learning of the CDF document, it is also worth noting that several websites around the world featuring alleged prophetic material that are known for their faithfulness to Church teaching have nonetheless decided to continue publishing translations of the Itapiranga messages. This is perhaps best explained by the fact that, during Dom Carillo Gritti's lifetime, the Itapiranga apparitions enjoyed an unusual degree of approval. The priest about whom you are to read has, unfortunately, been the target of many erroneous allegations. These are refuted in more detail here. All should be aware that Fr. Michel does not endorse the messages of other alleged seers eg. Michel also does not advocate for survivalism he has only encouraged having a few months of food on hand out of prudence that, likely, no one could argue with after COVID , nor does he instruct his listeners to go and build physical "refuges. Michel has received multiple forms of approval. There are many false rumors circulating online asserting that Fr. Michel said things that, in fact, he has never said. For a reliable guide to what his teachings actually are, please refer to the words actually spoken by him, which you can listen to within this site's pages, and that have Fr. Michel's explicit permission to post here. The following is taken from the best-selling book, The Warning: Testimonies and Prophecies of the Illumination of Conscience :. Born into a faithful Catholic family of twenty-three children, Michel grew up poor. His family lived on a small piece of farmland, where hard work and bumpy trips to Sunday Mass with multiple children on horseback kept his family alive in body and spirit. Like St. Padre Pio and other chosen souls, God the Father began speaking to Michel at a tender age. I thought that everyone talked to God the Father. From age three to six, the Lord instructed me in the faith and gave me a thorough theological education. He also told me, when I was three, that I would be a priest. Michel subsequently studied psychology and areas of theology, such as mariology, pneumatology, the writings of the Church Fathers, graduating with a doctorate in theology. After founding and managing a shelter for homeless youth, which offered them psychological and spiritual care, Michel Rodrigue was ordained a diocesan priest at the age of thirty. He served as a parish priest for five years in northern Ontario until his bishop discerned that his talents would be best utilized forming future clergy. Michel then became a Sulpician priest teaching theology at the Grand Seminary of Montreal. On Christmas Eve, , Fr. He was awakened in the night by the presence of St. Benedict Joseph Labre, who stood by his bedside, shaking his shoulder to get his attention. Michel stood up. Michel could type. He had to tell God to slow down! Then God suddenly whisked Fr. God the Father told Fr. Michel that he would be the founder of this monastery. Joseph Benedict Labre in order to prepare priests for the future of the . Today the first of the two monastery buildings is now built, exactly as God desired. God has gifted Fr. Michel Rodrigue with extraordinary intellectual and spiritual gifts, such as healing, reading souls, a photographic memory which lessened after many severe illnesses and eight heart attacks! He has a naturally joyful disposition and a ready laugh, while at the same time, a great seriousness concerning the things of God. He has performed exorcisms, in addition to his duties as a seminary professor, hospital minister, parish priest, and most recently, as the founder and Superior General of the new religious fraternity in French-speaking Quebec. Michel Rodrigue receives the full support of his bishop, and all of his locutions and visions are submitted to his local ordinary for approval. Our Lady called Fr. Michel, therefore, paints on a larger canvas, which reveals the interconnectedness and relevance of prophecies for our time, including those in Scripture. Now I see! Michel and who have previously sojourned into prophetic texts and emerged cross-eyed. The words of Fr. Michel on this website are taken from recordings of his presentations. Some of his talks on the same subject have been combined into one, and in occasional places, the translation is not verbatim in order to use proper English grammar. Michel is an obedient son of the Catholic Church. A few websites have posited, without his permission, words about him and from him, which are not entirely factual. Michel, for instance, does not support or even know of the messages of Maria Divine Mercy, and he supports Bishop Matthew H. See his signed statement here. We invite you to read about Fr. Rodrigue, starting with his story and to follow the texts and videos in the order they are presented. To move through them in any other way may bring you needlessly scramble your understanding, as each talk and message from heaven builds on the last. As Contributors of this website, we feel that Fr. Michel's revelations must be tested as any , and encourage readers to do so according to the Catechism of the Catholic Church:. Guided by the Magisterium of the Church, the sensus fidelium knows how to discern and welcome in these revelations whatever constitutes an authentic call of Christ or his saints to the Church. Benedict Joseph Labre in Quebec is an indispensable gift to the future of the Church. Willed by God, the second monastery for the order is still under construction. We contributors to Countdown to the Kingdom also invite you to offer your financial support directly to Fr. Michel for this most important endeavor. They began in following her visit to Medjugorje, Bosnia-Herzegovina, and purchase of a statuette of Our Lady, which subsequently began to weep blood. The apparitions have already been the subject of an Italian national TV broadcast during which the seer behaved with remarkable calm in the face of some heated criticism from panelists in the studio toward her and two books. And the local Bishop of Civita Castellana appears to have been quietly supportive of Gisella Cardia, having given access early on to a chapel for the overwhelming influx visitors who began to gather in the Cardia's house to pray, once news of the apparitions began to spread. There are several major reasons for focusing on Trevignano Romano as a potentially important and solid prophetic source. Firstly, the content of Gisella's messages converges very closely with the "prophetic consensus" represented by other contemporary sources, without any indication of her awareness of their existence Luz de Maria de Bonilla, Pedro Regis, Fr. Michel Rodrigue, Fr. Adam Skwarczynski, the diaries of Bruno Cornacchiola. Secondly, several of the overtly prophetic messages would appear to have been fulfilled: we notably find a request in September to pray for China as the source of new airborne diseases. Of course, these could conceivably be fraud or even demonic interference, as could the weeping of the statue of the Virgin and images of Jesus in Gisella's and her husband, Gianni's, home. The idea that fallen angels could be at the origin of the messages nonetheless seems extremely unlikely, given their theological content and exhortations to holiness. Given our knowledge through the testimony of exorcists as to how the fallen angels detest and fear Mary to the point of refusing to name her, the chances that one would spontaneously induce the production of the words "Mary most holy" "Maria santissima" in blood on the seer's body would appear to be next to nil. These phenomena, when the sun appears to rotate, flash or be transformed into a Eucharistic Host, clearly cannot be faked by human means, and being recorded albeit imperfectly on camera, are also evidently not merely the fruit of collective hallucination. Familiarity with the history of Marian apparitions suggests that these miracles should be regarded as confirmations of the authenticity of heavenly communications. Faustina, n. Seraphim Michalenko, vice-postulator of St. She booked a ticket to Rome and, against all odds, found herself and her companions in the inner corridors of the Vatican. In a follow-up meeting, Msgr. She grew up in a very religious home with great devotion to the Eucharist, and as a child, experienced heavenly visits from her guardian angel and the Blessed mother, whom she considered her companions and confidants. In , she received a miraculous healing from an illness, coinciding with both a visitation from the Blessed Mother and a new and more public calling to share her mystical experiences. Soon she would fall into profound ecstasy not only in the presence of her family—her husband and eight children, but also of people close to her who began to gather to pray; and they, in turn, formed a prayer cenacle, which accompanies her to this day. I answered affirmatively, and then after a day of continuous prayer, that night, Christ appeared to me on the Cross and shared His wounds. It was indescribable pain, although I know that however painful it may be, it is not the totality of the pain that Christ continues to suffer for humanity. Since then, she has mostly received two messages per week and on occasion, only one. Each time is like the first. Several months later, Mary and Saint Michael the Archangel introduced her to Our Lord in a vision, and in time, Jesus and Mary would speak to her of coming events, such as the Warning. The messages went from being private to public, and by divine command, she must communicate them to the world. They warn the world of coming tribulations: communism and its coming peak; war and the use of nuclear weapons; pollution, famine, and plagues; revolution, social unrest, and moral depravity; a schism in the Church; the fall of the world economy; the public appearance and world domination of the antichrist; the fulfillment of the Warning, the Miracle, and the chastisements; the fall of an asteroid, and the change of terrestrial geography, among other messages. All this is not to frighten, but to urge man to turn his gaze toward God. There are also proclamations of the resurgence of true faith, the unity of the people of God, the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and the final Triumph of Christ, the King of the Universe, when there will no longer be divisions, and we will be one people under the One God. The messages she receives are audio recorded by two people and then transcribed by a nun. One priest makes spelling corrections, then another gives the messages a final review before uploading them to the website, www. His letter began:. I have reviewed with faith and interest these volumes entitled, THY KINGDOM COME, and have come to conclusion that they are a call to humanity to return to the path that leads to eternal life, and that these messages are an exhortation from heaven in these times in which man must be careful not to stray from the Divine Word. The messages in these volumes are a treatise of spirituality, divine wisdom, and morality for those who welcome them with faith and humility, so I recommend them for you to read, meditate upon, and put into practice. Click here to see the video. Indeed, an international consensus seems to have emerged that the messages of Luz de Maria de Bonilla are worthy of consideration. There are several reasons for this, which can be summarized as follows:. Sometimes these are in the presence of witnesses for which we have video evidence see here. Why Marco Ferrari? In , Marco Ferrari began meeting with friends to pray the Rosary on Saturday evenings. He also received 11 secrets concerning the world, Italy, apparitions in the world, the return of Jesus, the Church and the Third Secret of Fatima. Their banner was recently blessed by Pope Francis. Marco continues to receive messages on the fourth Sunday of each month, the content of which is strongly convergent with many other credible prophetic sources. Why the Visionaries of Our Lady of Medjugorje? Why Pedro Regis? Visionary of Our Lady of Anguera. With messages allegedly received by Pedro Regis since , the body of material associated with the purported apparitions of Our Lady of Anguera in Brazil is extremely substantial. It has attracted the attention of specialist writers such as the well-known Italian journalist Saverio Gaeta, and has lately been the subject of a book-length study by researcher Annarita Magri. At first glance, the messages may appear repetitive an accusation also frequently levelled at those in Medjugorje in terms of their consistent emphasis on certain central themes: the necessity to devote one's life wholly to God, faithfulness to the True Magisterium of the Church, the importance of prayer, the Scriptures and the Eucharist. Then the rule given us by Pope Julius II will be perfectly observed. Let it suffice to say that this was only the beginning of the terrible persecution suffered by these holy souls, who were later returned to that awful prison. Drawing of the prison of the convent where Mother Mariana of Jesus and the other holy foundresses were unjustly imprisoned. After this release from imprisonment, Mother Mariana was again elected prioress, receiving the majority of the votes from the obedient faction of the convent. This caused such a fury in the rebellious band that again she was slandered to such a point that the Bishop, not knowing what to do, had her isolated in a cell. The hate-filled, unruly bloc wished to send her to the dark prison again but Mother Valenzuela would not hear of it. One day during this second period of isolation, as she prayed and suffered, Mother Mariana again beheld a lady of incomparable majesty and beauty surrounded by light. Once more the lady called herself Mary of Good Success. Again she carried her infant Son and the golden crosier. Lists with This Book. This book is not yet featured on Listopia. Community Reviews. Who is the one who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? I, John, your brother and fellow partaker in the tribulation and kingdom and perseverance which are in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will grant to eat of the tree of life which is in the Paradise of God. Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to cast some of you into prison, so that you will be tested, and you will have tribulation for ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life. To him who overcomes, to him I will give some of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white stone, and a new name written on the stone which no one knows but he who receives it. He who overcomes, and he who keeps My deeds until the end, to him I will give authority over the nations ;. He who overcomes will thus be clothed in white garments; and I will not erase his name from the book of life, and I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels. He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he will not go out from it anymore; and I will write on him the name of My God, and the name of the city of My God, the new Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God, and My new name. When they have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up out of the abyss will make war with them, and overcome them and kill them. So the dragon was enraged with the woman, and went off to make war with the rest of her children, who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus. Then I looked, and behold, the Lamb was standing on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His name and the name of His Father written on their foreheads. And I saw something like a sea of glass mixed with fire, and those who had been victorious over the beast and his image and the number of his name, standing on the sea of glass, holding harps of God. Then I fell at his feet to worship him. For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. Then I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received the mark on their forehead and on their hand; and they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. Please call me at and let me know where I should send the check. Hi Jennifer, It is nice to meet you. I am glad to hear that you are enjoying this website. Sorry, but I don't offer any books, however all the books that I use as source material for this website can be found online. Amazon or ABE books are excellent sources. Thanks again and may God bless you and yours, Glenn. I bought this book 23 years ago. I have highlighted it, some pages are worn and each passage is gem for me to meditate on. I started reading it again because it gives me so much hope and I don't feel so alone. I gave one to a friend and I hope to give out more. It reminds me of how big God's heart is and how important we all are to Him. How we are truly brothers and sisters in this world. I think reading this book would be so helpful for those who are suffering from loneliness, depression and anxiety. God's love heals everything. He loves us with no conditions. My nephew when he was 3 saw a crucifix of Our Lord and almost starting crying. He said Jesus needs a bandaid. We can love Him and offer ourselves to Him. We all can receive healing through Him. God bless you and happy reading! Surely Gabrielle Bossis must be a Saint in heaven, my prayer is for the people on earth to know she is one. This book has meant a lot to me. Here is a little shorten story of how God had spoken to me,through her willingness of being His instrument. The day before Pentecost, the Church i went to was selling books in the lobby. My friend and i had one year early, before the picture was taken, had started a daily Rosary group after Mass, and in between the decades, we asked for more of the Holy Spirit, through Mary. In the book on September 30 , she writes "i was admiring the clouds in the form of gigantic animals heads", a week later, October 4, , He says "Have you anyone else so ingenious in his ways of pleasing You? You have someone to carve the clouds of the shapes you love, haven't you? How beautiful! Hi HeandI, Thank you for sharing your comments. I too hope that Gabrielle Bossis will someday be declared a Saint, God willing. Gabriele Bossis, pray for us! I have often given a copy of "He and I" to those I meet who have a negative image of God. It has also served me well as a meditation book. I resist simply reading it, but always stop when a particular thought or phrase strikes me in a special way. I then close my eyes and let the phrase settle in my mind - savor it if you will - since this seems to be a work of the Holy Spirit. Recently I have found it difficult to purchase the book I usually use Amazon. I believe the Canadian publisher, St. Paul Media, has either discontinued the book or has closed its doors altogether. I anyone has any knowledge of this, would you let me know? I have done several books for Ave Maria Press and Paraclete Press and may encourage them to pick up the title if this is the case. By the way, I believe this is the finest website on mystical spirituality on the internet. God bless, Fr. Richard Beyer. Hi Father Richard, It is really nice to meet you. I am really glad to hear that you have a great appreciation for the book "He and I. I have been informed that Pauline Books and Media has taken over this title now, so I am looking forward to seeing it republished soon in a new format. Thanks again for your kind message and may God bless you and your loved ones. English or French would be fine. Gratefully, David Elliott daelliott mac. Hi David, It is nice to meet you. To reply to your question, no, I have not thusfar run across any of Gabrielle's other works. Perhaps some of the other readers of this website have? Is so please leave a comment below. May God bless you and your loved ones, Glenn Dallaire. I read a few pages every morning before getting out of bed. Jesus told Gabrielle that she should read a few lines that He dictated to her for this book by way of locution every day. I have found that it helps me to do so. After I read a little, I feel very inspired to pray. There are only a few books that I will read as often as the bible and this is one of them. Thank you for introducing me to it. Hi Anonymous, Thanks for your comments. I am really glad to hear that you have found "He and I" to be very edifying and enlightening. As for myself, I have a pretty good sized library of spiritual books, and "He and I" is definitely in my top 10 favorites. Best wishes and may God bless you and your loved ones, Glenn Dallaire. Gabrielle Bossis's recorded messages from Jesus are so awesome and inspiring that they transcend all denominations and are for ALL Christians! I saw her book mentioned somewhere and asked the Lord if I could get a copy. Checking out Amazon. I consider this book a true gift from Jesus and every morning now before going to work, I have to just open it at random and see what the Lord wants to share with me today from what He shared with her. Next to the Bible, this has got to be one of my new favorite books of God's messages! He and I is my favorite book. I love it and read in it every day. It has healing power and the love to Jesus grows with each page Thank you all for this book thats given for our time. I read this book about 10 years ago This time I'm circling my favorite messages and adding notes in pencil: something I almost never do in my books! This book makes me want to know Jesus as Gabrielle knew Him I'm listening for His Messages to me! Beautiful dialogue between Our Lord and his dear soul. I have emailed it to my daughter who is a religious Living overseas. She loved it. So many of us carry on blindly without realising how much Our Saviour has done for us! If more read He and I, this World would be less self absorbed. Thanks for this great blog. She said she had experienced many interior graces translating this book, and considered herself "the dot over the "i" in the title. Thanks Glen for this post and many beautiful things I have read over the years. Readers should know the book, He and I, is now available in the Kindle store. I love this book and find it inspires confidence in prayer. I have a small website about conversion, the Eucharist, and mental prayer. I read both volumes of this book when it was first published in english. An influential older mystical Catholic suggested I read it. Apart from the Bible itself, it has been the most influential book on my having developed a conversational relationship with the Father and the Son. This book is beautiful- a large part of my spiritual reading! I am a convert from the Methodist faith and we had an old hymn that had lyrics- He walks with me and He talks with me and he tells me I am His own. This book is all about how Jesus longs to walk with every one of us! He and I is one of the most beautiful books that I have ever read. I love reading of her life with Jesus!!! God bless, C-Marie. It seems that Gabrielle is better known outside of France than in it! I hope her niece will do something to make known and preserve her story. I can't thank you enough for this website, Glenn. I have been seeking an intimate relationship with God for 50 years, but it's challenging. Christ makes it clear to Gabrielle how critical our love is to him. He had told St. He begged St. This is heart-breaking to me. Thanks Scott for your kind message and especially for the Youtube link with the photo album on Gabrielle Bossisvery much appreciated! Thanks so much for doing this work. My Mother gave me a copy of He and I forty years ago. I still pass it on to anyone I know Like you I wondered a great deal about Gabrielle's life but also whether what she wrote was of God. I have no doubts. Countless time I have been given insight, direction and God's love from the pages. To me it is merely a continuation of the Gospel' I share that experience. What a gorgeous woman and I know she prays for us all. Bill Melbourne Australia padua gmail. Just finished reading "He and I" for the 35th time over 30 years I started making a little tick mark after each reading. When I began my 36th reading, the words were more alive than ever before. The book resonates on multiple levels, having symbolic and metaphorical meaning. The messages conveyed seem to always have a timely significance for something that is occurring in my life. Organized religion for me proved to be an impediment to my spirituality; and, "He and I" accomplished what sitting in a church pew was unable to achieve. I love the book very much and read it everyday I felt love for Jesus like never before but of course it came from him, everything from him. How i wish copies of books are available in the philippines but I called St. Paul's bookstore, and it's not. I pray that the book will be more available to people. I know someone who wish to publish the book, coz it's not available too in our country, could u email me at jmjss gmail. Thank you. So grateful for this article, which is not only interesting but so very inspriing, particularly the report about the priest and his friend who travelled through France to Gabrielle's grave in a way so clearly led by the Lord Holy Spirit. I was providentially led to a copy of the book myself when a student, "accidentally" picking it up from the a shelf in the Catholic chaplaincy's library. It's amazing, everyone should read it! To hear the way that the Lord Jesus so intimately and passionately loves us I'm writing this in The imprimatur for the book I have my copy here was granted in I wonder if the copyright was also granted in If so, it would expire in year end. Perhaps the whole thing could then be scanned and freely distributed in its entirety online? Think what a tremendous blessing that would be, even leading souls back to the Lord and to salvation : : Bella. I briefly knew Evelyn Brown as she visited in the beautiful desert town of Sedona Arizona in She was not in good health, and had come to stay with mutual friends of mine, good Catholics Norman and Eileen McGee. I was temporarily in Sedona writing to Carmelite Monasteries for one who might accept me as a late vocation Over several weeks Evelyn told me how the translation of "He and I" had led her to the Catholic Church and the joy of the Faith. She was a radiantly holy woman and I loved being with her; she said that as translator, she was the dot over the "i" in "He and I". Years later when I understood the job of editing as well as translating Gabrielle Bossis' journal into the smooth text in English, I realised that her translation was truly inspired. Thanks Raven for sharing your personal experiences with Evelyn Brown--it was very interesting to read! Can i get a pdf format for this book. I have heard so much about this book and am keen to read. Can you please help me out. I have just heard about the book for the first tune this morning and I'm truly intrigued because I yearn to know Jesus more each day. I would definitely order the book. With Love From Nigeria. Dear Glenn, Thank you for this wonderful website. It has been such a help to my Faith. You mentioned in a comment that He and I is one of your top 5 favourite books. I was wondering what the other 4 are. I love this book. Thank you Glenn. Gabrielle Hennessy. Jesus told the man, "I will cease speaking to you now, but My Mother will continue to lead you. Stefano Gobbi. It was two years into these cenacles that the words of Jesus came true: Our Lady began to lead him, but in the most remarkable way. Over the years, these numbers that materialized would confirm on countless occasions the spontaneous conversations in their cenacles, and now today, the events taking place around the world. Gobbi's messages did not fail but are now finding their fulfillment in real-time. Whenever these numbers become available to Countdown to the Kingdom, we will make them available here. See www. Colin B. See above and www. Why a Californian Soul? Around , a man and a woman in California, who were living together in a life of sin, had a profound conversion through Divine Mercy. Seven months later, a statue of Our Lady of the Immaculate Heart in their home began to weep oil profusely later, other sacred statues and images began oozing fragrant oil while a crucifix and a statue of St. Because these images began to attract many people to their home in the beginning, their spiritual director agreed that they remain anonymous. This miracle led them to repent of their living situation and enter a sacramental marriage. Even though some of the Lord's words were of warning, he described Jesus' voice as always beautiful and gentle. The couple felt called to start a cenacle of the Marian Movement of Priests where they would meditate on the messages of Our Lady to Fr. Both the husband and wife suffer greatly for their ministry, but continually offer it to the Lord for the salvation of souls. It is noteworthy that this man does not read the Blue Book to this day as his education is very limited and he has a reading disability. Gobbi's messages did not fail but are now finding their fulfilment in real-time. Whenever those messages become available to Countdown to the Kingdom, we will make them available here. Alicja Lenczewska. The Polish mystic, Alicja Lenczewska, was born in Warsaw in and died in , her professional life being spent primarily as a teacher and associate director of a school in the northwestern city of Szczecin. Together with her brother, she started participating in the meetings of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in following the death of their mother. On March 8, , Alicja's life changed radically when she encountered Jesus standing before her after receiving Holy Communion. It was on this date that she began recording her mystical dialogues. Retiring in , she became a member of the Family of the Heart of Love of the Crucified, making her initial vows in and perpetual vows in She was also active in evangelizing and organizing pilgrimages to Italy, the Holy Land, and Medjugorje. In , her mystical communications came to a conclusion, two years before her death from cancer in St. John's Hospice, Szczecin, on January 5, Since their appearance in , they have become best-sellers among Polish Catholics and are frequently quoted in public by clergy both for their penetrating insights into the spiritual life and their revelations concerning the contemporary world. Why Edson Glauber? In , apparitions of Jesus, Our Lady, and St. Joseph to Edson Glauber, age twenty-two, and his mother, Maria do Carmo. They became known as the Itapiranga apparitions, named after their native town in the Brazilian Amazon jungle. Our Lady showed heaven, hell and purgatory to Edson, and along with her Son, gave various teachings for families to Maria do Carmo. Moreover, Our Lady specifically requested a Christian evangelization directed in a distinct way toward the youth and the construction of a simple chapel for pilgrims, as well as the institution of a soup kitchen in Itapiranga for needy children. The Queen of the Rosary touched with her hand water which flows from the place of apparitions in Itapiranga and asked that it be brought to the sick for healing. A great number of miraculous healings have been reported, positively assessed by doctors, and were forwarded to the Apostolic Prefecture of the Archdiocese of Itacoatiara. She also requested that a chapel be built that still stands. In , the messages of Itapiranga at times emphasized devotion to St. On Wednesday, June 11, , the day that year of this requested Feast, the Blessed Mother said the following, making reference to a series of apparitions of the Holy family that took place in Ghiaie de Bonate in northern Italy, during the s—apparitions in which devotion to St. So let this thought be a strength to you and your smiling calm. Let us include My Mother in this life of ours. Do you really believe that Her love is active on your behalf? Oh, My little girl, have faith in the great things that you can do with Us. Without Us…but you are already aware of your nothingness. What a concert of blessings, My child! Gather them all as though they were yours and join in the symphony of thanksgiving. Are there two voices alike in the whole world? Aren't you struck by the diversity in human creation? In heaven too, each saint differs from the other, and if you are enchanted by the variety of colors in your garden, you may be sure that Paradise flashes with a myriad of countless splendid things, all for My glory. There too, I know the voices, for I know you all. My children, I atoned for all of you and I know My redeemed ones. Email This BlogThis! Share to Twitter Share to Facebook. Blessed Dina Belanger. Then the rule given us by Pope Julius II will be perfectly observed. A diamond-studded cross shimmered like so many suns on the crosier; rubies adorned the center of the cross and the name of Mary was engraved on this ruby star, shimmering with many different lights. He will be a man of character to whom God Our Lord will grant the palm of martyrdom on this same central square where my convent stands. He will consecrate the Republic of Ecuador to the Sacred Heart of my most holy Son, and this consecration will sustain the Catholic Faith in the years to come, which will be ominous for the Church. President Gabriel Garcia Moreno. They will also violently attack this convent which is particularly mine. To those wretched men this monastery will seem finished, but unbeknown to them, I live and God lives to raise in their very midst powerful defenders of this work. We will also place insurmountable difficulties in their paths, and the triumph shall be ours. Gabriel Garcia Moreno was a man of unshakable courage, brilliant intellect, and ardent love for the Church and the Papacy. As president of Ecuador , he led the republic in the paths of Faith and righteousness for several years, accomplishing tremendous religious, moral, educational, and economic reform. Shortly after his reelection, in a great impulse of manly fervor, he shouldered a huge wooden cross during a Holy Week procession and led the cortege through the streets of Quito. Shortly thereafter, the Masonic lodges of Peru sent an assassin to kill him. He was brutally murdered on August 6, , in front of the presidential palace as he returned from Mass and Holy Communion in the Cathedral. He fell in the square on which stands the convent of the Immaculate Conception, just as Our Lady had predicted.
