DAY 1 – BOSTON~: Depart Boston's Logan International Airport on our overnight flight to Naples (via intermediate city) with food and beverage service, as well as stereo headsets, available while in flight. DAY 2 – NAPLES~: “Benvenuti in Italia!” Upon arrival at the airport in Naples, we will meet our Tour Escort, who will help us transfer. Board our private motorcoach for the drive to Sorrento and check-in at the 4-star Hotel Michelangelo (or similar). The remainder of the day is at leisure to get acquainted with the hotel and our surroundings. An orientation meeting, with

“Welcome Drink,” will be held at the hotel prior to dinner. Overnight. (D) Hotel website: www.michelangelohotel.it DAY 3 – : Today we enjoy an earlier breakfast at the hotel and then travel by smaller buses to the “Porto” (also called “Marina Piccola”) for a jetfoil ride across the Gulf of Naples to the main port of the Island of Ischia. This island is the largest of the three off the coast of Naples (Ischia, Capri and ). Known for its scenic beauty, small shops, and “high-end” shopping, Ischia’s tree-lined boulevards and about 30 miles of coastline also offer spas, natural springs, and relaxation retreats. We will pass by (and observe from the outside), the Aragonese Castle built in 474 BC and walk along Via Colonna where we will have ample time to shop before having lunch near the seaside in the Port town. After lunch, we will journey to Composer William Walton’s estate to experience its “La Mortella Gardens” (tickets included) with their large and colorful flora and spectacular views over the harbor and city of Forio. We then transfer back to the Port for return by ferry to Sorrento for our Farewell to Sorrento dinner and overnight at our hotel. (B,L,D) DAY 4 – SANT’AGATA~FATTORIA TERRANOVA: After a leisurely breakfast at our Hotel, we will journey toward the Cape of Sorrento and to the hillside village of Sant’Agata Sui Due Golfi overlooking the Gulf of Naples and the Bay of Salerno. Here we arrive at the Fattoria Terranova – a beautifully serene “Agriturismo” surrounded by lush vegetation, vineyards, and olive & citrus groves where we participate in a cooking class and wine tasting followed by lunch among the terraced gardens and home-grown products. After this delightful culinary and gastronomical experience, we return to Sorrento for free time to shop or to spend at leisure before dinner and overnight at our hotel. (B,L,D) DAY 5 – VESUVIUS: After breakfast at our hotel, we will journey to the volcano Vesuvius the only active one on the European continent which dominates the Bay of Naples. You’ll be met by an expert Alpine guide who will lead you on foot along a panoramic hiking trail to view the ancient Somma Crater and the 1944 lava flow. We’ll eventually reach the height of 3000 feet where the inside of the crater is visible. Them we continue to local winery Tenuta Le Lune del Vesuvio for visit, wine tasting and lunch. Return to Sorrento for dinner and overnight at the hotel (B,L,D) DAY 6 – POSITANO: This morning we will journey along one of the most scenic roads in the world – the Amalfi Drive to Positano – ’s most spectacular and elegant seaside resort. Here we view this terraced city with pastel villas and scenic overlooks and walk along the narrow streets lined with galleries and boutique shops featuring hand-made clothing, sandals, handbags, perfumes, and works of art to enjoy some leisurely time for shopping and coffee before departing by local boat (weather permitting) to Conca dei Marini where will enjoy lunch at a seaside restaurant before returning to Sorrento for dinner and overnight at our hotel. (B,L,D). DAY 7 – & FABBRICA DELLA PASTA: After breakfast, we journey to the small town, Grangnano, where what is justly known as the best Pasta in all of Italy is made at the “IL RE DELLA PASTA”. (Factory of the Pasta). Here we will visit the Pasta-making museum and witness how this small factory makes, packages, and distributes its pasta specialties. We will have a magnificent pasta lunch at its Taverna before returning to our hotel before dinner and overnight. B,L,D,) DAY 8 – THE SERENITY OF SORRENTO AND GASTRONOMIC DELIGHT!: This morning is at leisure to relax, enjoy lunch (on our own), stroll and perhaps visit the Museum Correale, the Historic Center, Sorrento’s beautiful architecture, and serene overlooks, or take the day to further explore the area according to your own wishes. After lunch, and for those who wish, we will assemble at the overlook in the Piazza Tasso and walk the short distance on the Corso Italia to experience one of Sorrento’s additional treasures – the world renown “Gelateria DAVID” in the heart of Sorrento where we will learn the age-old secrets of making authentic Gelato “artiginale”. After this hands-on and entertaining Gelato-making class (included), we will sample our creations & flavors and come to realize why this Gelateria is justly famous! The later afternoon is free before returning to hotel for our “Farewell dinner to Marina Grande, the fishing village of Sorrento” at Restaurant Zi N’Tonio a Mare. Overnight. (B,D)

DAY 9 – NAPLES~BOSTON: After breakfast and hotel check-out, we will transfer to the Naples Airport to board our flight to Boston (intermediate stop).
