Rebazar Tarz ACCEPTING DESTINY Praise for Accepting Destiny “Isabelle Morton is a treasure. So few teachers of practical energy medicine are as genuinely heartfelt and compassionate as Isabelle. Her information and methods source directly from her visits with inner-world Guides on the subtle planes of our Earth, and her work is completely unique in the world of energetic healing. Isabelle’s teachings on Gemstone Therapy have opened up limitless possibilities for me as an energetic healer, for myself as well as my clients. Moreover, Isabelle encourages her students to become their own teachers, and to learn directly from the gemstones themselves. Read her story and be inspired!” —Robyn Arrington, MSW, Gemstone Therapy Practitioner “Witness the glorious gift of a whole new level of gemstone medicine, offering us innovative techniques to diagnose and treat complex, debilitating medical conditions in today’s ever-changing environment. This is a toolkit that brings together a rare combination of both safety and intense power, rocketing it to the forefront of innovations supporting health on all levels of being.” —Cari Nyland, ND, DAFNS “Isabelle Morton and her work have an elegant quality and unlimited poten- tial. Working with her I have experienced tremendous growth and healing on numerous levels. I can’t imagine life without support from the Mineral Kingdom and Isabelle’s magnificent talents and tools. Isabelle, thank you for the treasure you are and the treasures you’ve shared and introduced to me.” —Barbara K. “I believe that the Gemstone Therapy Institute that Isabelle founded in 2009 will serve to elevate Gemstone Energy Medicine to its rightful place alongside homeopathy and acupuncture as a complete, holistic healing system and modality, for self-therapy and practitioners. As a Gemstone Therapy Practitioner certified by Isabelle and the Gemstone Therapy Insti- tute, I have been privileged to share this work with hundreds of clients and students who in turn have shared their experiences with others. Isabelle’s leadership, personal example, and love are a testament to her commitment to this work and to humanity. She is an inspiration to us all.” —Herbert Wheeler, BSMT, GTP “Gemstone Therapy has increased my awareness of all that the earth has to offer for nourishment and support. I find the gemstone necklaces support me in changes I want to make, ground me when I need grounding and pro- vide emotional support when that is needed. My life is enhanced by using gemstones—and they’re beautiful to wear as well!” —R. M. “I was going through very bad phase in my life and was asking the universe to help me out. I found Isabelle. She has an amazing ability to view and work with our energy bodies. She works mostly with energy chakras. She corrects their shape, orientation, color and also frees them from unwanted energies using the healing power of gemstones. I was amazed by Isabelle’s ability to correctly identify the cause of the issue and thereafter fixing the same. I am ever grateful and thankful to Isa and the universe for bringing this healing into my life.” —K.M. “I have been on a healing journey for years and years trying to find healing work that works for me and the right practitioners with whom I feel comfort- able and who really know what they are doing. I have spent thousands and thousands of dollars and worked with dozens of practitioners, mostly with temporary or meager results. A lot of the issues I have sought help for are from experiencing overwhelming amounts of trauma and injury in this lifetime. “Finally, I have found someone who truly understands what has happened to my body and why things are the way they are now. I have never been able to get anyone else to understand that. “Isabelle works from a deeply rooted knowingness about the gemstones and how to use them and is providing me with the healing I have long sought. During sessions it feels as though she and the gemstones are one and totally devoted to me. I am seeing my issues resolve and believe that gemstone therapy is key to recovering and maintaining my health from now on.” —R.E. “Many years ago I discovered therapeutic gemstone and gemstone therapy as a healing modality. It was the first approach I used, including mainstream medi- cine, which really improved my life. Since then it has consistently been one of the most effective tools I have for improving my health. I also receive such feel- ings of love and support from my experiences with gemstone healing and I love how there is a correlation between how beautiful they are and how effectively they improve my life. Isabelle, it’s wonderful how you’re adding to this field.” —Karen Kolczak “I have found Gemstone and Diamond Therapy to be profound and life-changing for me, my family, and clients over these many years of work- ing with this incredible healing modality.” —Linda Lile, PhD GTP ABD “For me, working with Isabelle’s unique gemstone protocols and applica- tions is a breath of fresh air! I was then again fortunate to encounter her when she started GEMFormulas. “The gemstones, the diamonds, the Guardians and Isabelle are an important part of my life. Isabelle’s skills, understanding, and abilities offered me a gradual acquaintance with gemstones and their unique benefits. Every session contributed deeper and more far reaching benefits than ever be- fore. I felt like a different person and yet more intimately familiar with myself. Not only that but I liked me in a way that I wasn’t showing up before. How about that? I’m still amazed! The best part is that the whole process is a lot of fun, a lot of fun! Where has this been all my life?” —J.W. “Gemstone Therapy has taken me on a journey of self-discovery.

Gold Jewellery in Ptolemaic, Roman and Byzantine Egypt. Jack M. Ogden ABSTRACT This study deals with the gold jewellery made and worn in Egypt during the millennium between Alexander the Great's invasion of Egypt and the Arab conquest. Funerary jewellery is largely ignored as are ornaments in the traditional, older Egyptian styles. The work draws upon a wide variety of evidence, in particular the style, composition and construction of surviving jewellery, the many repre- sentations of jewellery in wear, such as funerary portraits, and the numerous literary references from the papyri and from Classical and early Christian writers. Egypt, during the period considered, has provided a greater wealth of such information than anywhere else in the ancient or medieval world and this allows a broadly based study of jewellery in a single ancient society. The individual chapters deal with a brief historical background; the information available from papyri and other literary sources; the sources, distribution, composition and value of gold; the origins and use of mineral and organic gem materials; the economic and social organisation of the goldsmiths' trade; and the individual jewellery types, their chronology, manufacture and significance. This last section is covered in four chapters which deal respectively with rings, earrings, necklets and pendants, and bracelets and armiets. These nine chapters are followed by a detailed bibliography and a list of the 511 illustrations. Gold Jewellery in Ptolemaic, Roman and Byzantine Egypt. In two volumes Volume 1 - Text. Jack M. • THE MYSTIC GEM of BABYLON by LOUISE SURGEY
THE MYSTIC GEM OF BABYLON By LOUISE SURGEY ARNELIAN, the talisman gemstone of ancient Babylon still enchants the connoisseur of jewels with its red coloring and shifting beams of light. C The Babylonian citizen, befogged by sorcerers, depend ed implicitly on the carnelian to shield him from the black magic which he believed the Moon-god hurled earthward from time to time. Of course, the sorcerers may have been laughing in their wide sleeves at the credulous citizen, for the wisest of their kind considered black magoic to be merely a form of bad temper and as such liable to disappear under the sunny rays of the carnelian. The Babylonians, who were among the earliest to invent the processes of boring and engraving of stones, would in any case choose carnelian, a hard surfaced gem, for their handicraft. The cylinder-seal which every Babylonian carried upon his per son and by means of which he stamped his signature, was made of carnelan more frequently than of any other stone. The style conscious Babylonian usually chose a well cut carnelian to ornament the top of his walking stiek. Carnelian was also the talisman of tbe wonderful, if tigerish, Kings of Babylon. King Nebuchadnezzar, or, more accurately, King Nebu-kukui-uzer, who built the walls Nimgur-bel and Nimitti-bel to protect and encompass Babylon, the city he loved more than his own life, treasured the carnelian above even the 'bricks of bright silver' with which he had adorned the Temple of N ebu, his deity. When the silver and gold twelve foot statue of Bel-Mero dach or Marduk, the god of Babylon, 'he who stands and walks' was taken in solemn procession through the great Ishtar Gate and onward to his glittering temple, the bright carnelian shone upon his horehead.
