September auf dem Hockenheimring Baden-Württemberg läuft auf Hochtouren. Rund 30 hochkarätig besetzte GT3-Rennwagen garantieren schon im Vorfeld des Rennwochenendes in der „Spargelmetropole“ ein PS-Spektakel der Extraklasse. In den beiden Ein-Stunden-Rennen mit Fahrerwechsel (Start am Samstag um 14.45 Uhr und am Sonntag um 13.05 Uhr, jeweils live auf SPORT1) kämpfen zahlreiche Titelaspiranten gegen noch mehr Teams, die rein gar nichts mehr zu verlieren haben – eine brisante Ausgangslage. Wenngleich in dieser Saison nicht Schauplatz des Finales, kann das bunte Treiben in Hockenheim in der Tat richtungsweisend für den Ausgang der Meisterschaft sein. Vier Wertungsläufe vor Schluss liegen der Schweizer Patric Niederhauser und der Südafrikaner Kelvin van der Linde im Audi R8 LMS von HCB-Rutronik-Racing mit 144 Punkten an der Tabellenspitze.     The 2019 Factory Drivers of Lamborghini Squadra Corse Lamborghini Squadra Corse announces its Factory Drivers for the 2019 season. The confirmed drivers are Mirko Bortolotti (2017 Blancpain GT Series champion and winner of the 2018 24 Hours of Daytona), Andrea Caldarelli (2017 Blancpain GT Series champion), Marco Mapelli (record-holder at Nürburgring-Nordschleife with the Aventador SVJ), and Giovanni Venturini (2017 GT Open champion), who will compete in the most prestigious international championships at the wheel of the new Huracán GT3 EVO, presented at Nürburgring on 15th September. Joining them are two important new entries, British driver Phil Keen and French driver Frank Perera. Born in Reading on 20th October 1983, Keen was runner-up in the British GT in 2017 and in 2018. In the season just concluded, he earned two victories at the wheel of the Huracán GT3 number 33 of the Barwell Motorsport team. Born in Montpellier on 21th March 1984, Perera has competed in a number of international open-wheel and GT championships. Earlier this year, Perera won the Daytona 24 Hours at the wheel of the #11 Grasser Racing Team Lamborghini Huracán GT3. Raffaele Giammaria is confirmed in the role of test driver and coordinator of the Young Driver Program and the GT3 Junior Program. In regard to the professional growth of young talents, by the end of this year Lamborghini Squadra Corse will organize a shootout, with the participation of the most promising drivers of the GT3 program who stood out over the course of the season. The best driver will receive support from Lamborghini Squadra Corse during 2019.

Now they are aiming for further success in the endurance and overall standings. A great car, great team-mates and a great performance,” Hartley commented. “We have had some good success in the 24H SERIES powered by Hankook last year, but this certainly is our biggest success so far,” said Robert Renauer, who drove the winning car across the nish line. For Porsche, it was the fth victory in the Hankook 24H DUBAI after earlier wins in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2014. This time, it was even a 1-2 for the German manufacturer as the Manthey Racing Porsche (#12, Otto Klohs/Sven Müller/Matteo Cairoli/Jochen Krumbach) nished second, two laps down on the winning entry. A three times’ Dubai race winner, the Black Falcon team saw its Mercedes-AMG GT3 (#3, Abdulaziz Al Faisal/Hubert Haupt/Yelmer Buurman/Michal Broniszewski/Maro Engel) nish third.
