LSU’s on-site training facility is complete with taping tables and a whirlpool. Weight Room St r ength and conditioning can be the heart and soul of an athletic prog r a m ’ s suc- cess, and LSU has taken great strides to im p r ove its strength program and facilities. LSU student-athletes enjoy one of the finest strength and conditioning facilities in the nation with a 10,000-square foot weight room located on the North side of Tiger Stadium. The weight room features the latest in both strength training and car- diovascular training equipment.

Athletic Training LSU boasts one of the largest and most complete athletic training facilities in all of college athletics. The Dr. Martin J. Broussard Center for Athletic Training is one of the few collegiate training centers with a full service pharmacy as well as an on-site X-ray room. Focused on aggressive rehabilitation, the 23,000-square foot Broussard Center is furnished with the lat- est in both technology and equipment. LS U ’ s multi-million dollar athletic training facility is equipped with the largest hydrot h e r - apy pools in both collegiate and prof e s s i o n a l sports, and is the only school in college ath- letics with a full-service vision center. RESIDENTIAL CAMPERS Residential campers can range from ages 12-17 and will encounter a more chal- lenging and rigorous atmosphere. It is designed for the serious player who wants to get an edge on their game. Residential campers will need to arrive on Sunday. Check-in will begin at 7 p.m. Dinner will not be provided on this day so campers need to eat prior to check-in. Upon check-in campers will receive their key. Each camper will receive a t-shirt, camp picture and laniard.

STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING

Strength and conditioning can be the heart and soul of an athletic program’s success, and LSU has taken great strides to improve its strength program and facilities. LSU offers a diversified staff of professionals to train and condition Tiger athletes in all 20 men’s and women’s sports. LSU athletes saw improvement of the weight facilities in the summer of 1997 and now enjoy one of the finest strength and conditioning facilities in the nation with a new 10,000 square foot weight room within Tiger Stadium. The new weight room, a state-of-the-art facility, features the latest in both strength training and cardiovascular training equipment.

Dr. Martin J. Broussard Center for Athletic Training LSU completed construction on the new Center for Athletic Training in July, 1998. The 23,000 square- foot, multi-level training facility puts LSU among the finest in the nation in athletic training. The Center for Athletic Tra i n i n g enables LSU to regain the position of athletic training leadership in the So u t h e a s t e r n Conference which it enjoyed when Dr. Marty Brou s s a r d served as head trainer for several decades. In his honor, the new facility is named the Dr. Martin J. Brou s s a r d Center for Athletic Training.
