Following the success of last year’s event, I’ll be inviting a few of my friends from TV to join me on stage, hosted by Gregg Wallace, to share plenty of stories and laughs as I prepare four specially designed courses for guests to enjoy. Sponsorship means that every penny raised will go directly to Cure Leukaemia, led by Professor Charlie Craddock, to support life-saving clinical drugs trials in the West Midlands.” Celebrity involvement Glynn Purnell Glynn has been a driving force in Birmingham’s culinary scene ever since securing the city’s first Michelin star for Jessica’s in 2005. Today, he is the proud owner of three establishments in Birmingham including the Michelin starred Purnell’s, and is a familiar face to many through his regular appearances on Saturday Kitchen, Great British Menu, Food and Drink and the BBC Good Food Show. Glynn is a proud Trustee of Cure Leukaemia. Gregg Wallace Gregg Wallace is a fruit and vegetable expert, writer, media presenter and greengrocer. He is probably best known for co-presenting and judging BBC 1’s MasterChef along with John Torode. Gregg told us: “I can’t wait to join Glynn and guests in Birmingham on Friday 2 October, and I’m already looking forward to the menu. I just hope he’s got plenty of desserts planned.” Glynn and Gregg will be joined by special guests on the night! About Cure Leukaemia – Glynn’s chosen charity Founded in 2003 by Professor Charlie Craddock, Cure Leukaemia helps to bring pioneering drug and transplant treatments to blood cancer patients throughout the Midlands. The charity helps finance the world class Centre for Clinical Haematology at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, to fund lifesaving clinical trials to treat patients with blood cancer who have exhausted standard treatment options.
