“I was really pressing to almost leave and start now, and then, if I had to, come back and finish my education, but I don’t know,” he said. “I don’t think that’s the best way to go about it. As much as I want to start playing professionally, I think I should finish school first.

“It almost makes sense to wait, but I’m itching and it’s something I’m defi- nitely thinking about every day.”

There are a few of big reasons why Wytinck decided to keep his ama- teur status for 2014. The first is the Canadian University/College Golf Championship that will be taking place at Southwood, the second is the Canadian amateur that is slated for Southwood and Elmhurst.

Then he would love to qualify for the Canadian amateur as the Manitoba champion, which is a title he held in 2012.

Entering the hall were Mike Pidlaski and Donna Thompson in the athlete category, and Raymond Savard and Charles E. Harvey in the builder division.

“A lot of that’s a part of how we do our ordering and the selec- tion that we give our members,” Steep said. “If you go into our shop you’ll see every single major brand in there.
