Material concerning this purchase and the relationship of the Public Utility District to the Willapa Power Co. can be fpund at the end of the entire collection in the subgroups. The collection covers the dates 1940-1952 with some material concerning 1953. The built of the mateml is general correspondence with firms and federal agencies. This is filed alphabetically by the name of the correspondent. Tttere is also considerable interoffice correspondence with the two subsidiary offices at South Bend and Ilwaco, minutes of meetings, and correspondence of the Board of Commissioners and financial records. Because the filing systems used 'during the 12 years covered differed consid- erably depending on the manager any given year, the arrangement is somewhat complex. The disruption of any ·one pattern will account for the seeming lack of completeness of particular files such as those of financial records. Where much material has been clipped together, it has been left as such, and it has been identified according to the POD designation. (This also accounts for items filed with the most recent date on top.) However, all the correspondence has been integrated for all years. FUD #2 Pacific Co. Inv.
