The MARTINI RACING Fashion Collection pays homage to the glamorous era of Porsche Motorsport. 6 – 7 Three colors. One legend. To date, the great successes of Porsche Motorsport have been achieved by exciting vehicles with red and blue stripes. Allow us to explain why this is. It all began in 1968. Martini first began to advertise at racing events soon after the advertising ban was lifted, and it wasn’t long before the first Porsche racing cars featuring the characteristic Martini stickers appeared. It is said that Porsche’s compensation for this first sponsoring campaign consisted only of a few racing jackets. In 1970, the MARTINI RACING team was founded by the Italian nobleman Conte Gregorio Rossi di Montelera. The Conte soon realized that he had a highly success-oriented partner in Porsche. The amount that was paid for this sponsorship deal remains a well-kept secret. For the 1970 long-distance season, Martini began sponsoring the team of Hans-Dieter Dechent. The Porsche 908/02 short-tail [ the “Flunder” ] and long-tail, as well as the 917 short-tail and long-tail [ the “Hippie” ] became part of Martini Porsche and received unofficial support from Porsche’s racing mechanics. Although there wasn’t an official Porsche works team, the advertising began to take shape on the racing cars – with proper sponsor designs. The era of the white Porsche racing car had come to an end. In 1971, the Martini Porsche 917 enjoyed a triumphant victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, with Helmut Marko and Gijs van Lennep behind the wheel – an astonishing success nobody had really expected. In 1973, following a short interlude in Formula 1, MARTINI RACING and Porsche Motorsport renewed their partnership. Between 1973 and 1978, Martini became the official partner of the Porsche works team – and Porsche Motorsport celebrated spectacular successes. In 1973, for instance, the 911 Carrera RSR won the Targa Florio. This achievement was followed by two NEW. Men’s windbreaker jacket – limited edition. overall wins at Le Mans: in 1976 and 1977. Renault and Porsche were fighting an Monsieur Le Mans. Porsche added Belgian Jacky Ickx as a third driver in addition to exciting race, with Renault’s A442 driven by Jabouille/ Haywood and Barth, a move that was in line with the rules. In Formula 1 races, Ickx Bell in the lead most of the time. Gradually, the Porsche had previously only driven mediocre cars. In the Porsche sports car, however, he cars in pursuit dropped out. The first to go was the drove the race of his life. Ickx not only lost 13 lb of body weight in four hours, but also Porsche 935 with Strommelen/Schurti behind the wheel, achieved something nobody thought possible: during the course of the Sunday then came Pescarolo, who during a wheel-to-wheel duel morning, Porsche took the lead after all three Renaults had been forced to drop out with Jabouille over-revved the engine of his 936 Spyder due to engine failure. Every garment in our collection pays homage to the typical elements from the former sponsor: light blue and a red stripe on the dark blue ribbon. The white or silver background of the racing car becomes a classic grey. In addition, the MARTINI RACING collection plays with the sporty primary colors red and dark blue. Other striking motives are the numbers – in our case, the historic starting numbers 8 and 20 that are a common theme throughout the collection. 10 – 11 Men’s Sportsline jacket.
