Feinstein's at the Nikko Presents Liberace & Liza Minnelli Live! a Tribute FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Media Contact: Kevin Kopjak | Charles Zukow Associates | 415.296.0677 | [email protected] FEINSTEIN’S AT THE NIKKO PRESENTS LIBERACE & LIZA MINNELLI LIVE! A TRIBUTE ONE PERFORMANCE ONLY THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 13 • 8 P.M. SAN FRANCISCO (June 19, 2018) — Feinstein’s at the Nikko is thrilled to present Liberace & Liza Live! A Tribute—a blinged-out and exhilarating night of musical and comical fireworks starring David Saffert and Jillian Snow Harris as the two legendary performers—on Thursday, September 13 at 8 p.m. Delighting in the costumes, music, and glamour of show business's wildest entertainers, guests will be smiling and clapping along to such hits as “Boogie Woogie,” “Chopsticks,” “Cabaret,” and “New York, New York.” Conducting the entire show is Bo Ayars who toured with "Lee" for 13 years as his arranger and Music Director. Liberace said, "I don't give concerts, I put on a show." That's what they do, and what a show it is! Tickets for Liberace & Liza Live! A Tribute range in price from $22.50–$50 and are available now by calling 866-663-1063 or visiting www.ticketfly.com. DAVID SAFFERT, like Liberace, is a classically trained pianist from Wisconsin. His mission is to give audiences the ultimate Liberace experience. From elaborate costumes to painstakingly researched piano transcriptions, David hones in on Liberace's piano playing, speech, and mannerisms to deliver the most honest portrayal of "Mr. Showmanship." With the help of Music Director Bo Ayars (Liberace's actual Music Director), David has been granted insight into one of entertainment's most beloved stars. As Liberace, David has performed at Tony Starlight's Showroom, Curious Comedy Theater, Portland Art Museum, University of Wisconsin -Superior, Coho Theater, Portland talk show Late Night Action w/ Alex Falcone, OPB's Think Out Loud, and on All Classical Portland radio's live broadcasts of Thursday's @ 3. Most recently, he appeared as the featured guest on two Under the Vegas Sun television episodes which were filmed at the Liberace Mansion in Las Vegas. JILLIAN SNOW HARRIS is a singer and actor who graduated from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City. She has worked predominately in comedy, gracing the stages of Gotham Comedy Club, the Laugh Factory, and Comix NYC as a Liza Minnelli impersonator. After seeing her perform, Michael Musto of the Village Voice said, "This could open up Minnelli to a whole new audience!" Jillian temporarily hung up the Liza wig when she was offered the part of Janis Joplin in the Off-Broadway production of "27 Heaven." Soon after, her love for portraying those for whom she idolized became a fruitful and fulfilling venture. Eventually, Jillian fled New York so she could get some sleep and found exile in Portland, Oregon. She was recently featured in the U.S. premiers of Liza, Liza, Liza, Liberace & Liza Christmas! A Tribute, and is currently a featured guest at Tony Starlight's Showroom portraying not only Liza, but also Bernadette Peters, Eartha Kitt, and Judy Garland. BO AYARS served for thirteen years as Music Director for Liberace, contributing his conducting and arranging talents to Lee’s worldwide live performances, TV specials, and recordings. At various times, Bo has been Music Director, Conductor, Arranger, Pianist, and Music Producer for several super-stars, including Liberace, Elvis Presley, Barbra Streisand, Rachel Welch, and Jim Nabors. He’s conducted three editions of the Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall and was Music Director for several national tours with the Walt Disney company.
