HOW DO I KNOW WHERE TO CATCH THE BUS? All of our bus routes have set stops and times. You can find all of the bus schedules and route maps on our website at freedom-transit.org. If you are able to get to a designated , we encourage you to do so, however our service operates as a flag stop meaning that you can be standing anywhere along the route on the correct side of the road in a safe and visible place and "flag down" the driver to catch the bus. Simply wave your arm as the bus you are waiting for approaches you and the driver will stop. All of our fixed route buses have lighted destination signs on the front to indicate what route the bus is operating on.

WHERE CAN I GO USING THE PREXIE PASS? You can go to and from any of our bus stops in and around the City of Washington. More specifically, the Prexie Pass allows you to ride to and from any location within our "ZONE 1" fare structure. ZONE 1 includes all of Washington as well as Racetrack Road locations. Some stops of interest include Washington High School, residential areas in Washington, Crown Center Mall, Trinity Point & Walmart, Washington Park, The Old Mill Plaza, Strabane Square, Oaksprings Plaza, Northgate Plaza, and Tanger Outlets. You are able to use the pass to pay your ZONE 1 fare on any fixed route bus.

WHAT IF I WANT TO RIDE THE BUS TO SOMEWHERE OTHER THAN WASHINGTON? Some of our bus routes operate in other areas of the county, as well as into Downtown Pittsburgh. Your Prexie Pass is only good for fare payment in ZONE 1 locations, which includes Washington and Racetrack Road. If you want to use the service to go somewhere beyond Washington, you may do so, but you would need to present your pass to the driver and also pay the "up value." The "up value" is the difference between a regular ZONE 1 fare ($1.50) and the fare of the zone you are riding to/from.
