Preliminary Information In this Annual Information Form (the “AIF”), Avalon Rare Metals Inc. is referred to as “Avalon” or the “Company”. All information contained herein is as at August 31, 2012 and all monetary amounts are stated in Canadian dollars, unless otherwise stated. 1.1. Financial Statements This AIF should be read in conjunction with the Company’s consolidated financial statements and management’s discussion and analysis for the 12 months ended August 31, 2012.
