7TH ANNUAL CULTURAL EVENT REVA FEST-2019 SRICT celebrated its 7th Annual Cultural Event REVA FEST-2K19 on the 1st April, 2019 at AIA Hall, Ankleshwar. Ankleshwar) and Shri Sunil Parekh (Strategic Advisor, Zydus Cadila Healthcare Ltd, Jubilant Energy) was the esteemed Chief Guest. WINSTINCT_SPORTS DAY-2019 An Annual Day of SRICT entitled “WINSTINCT-2019” was organized by Department of Mechanical Engineering. It was segmented in two categories i.e: Indoor games and Outdoor games. This year we have initiated new approach for continuous enthusiasm. Indoor games competition which includes carom, chess, TT and snooker were organized in last semester on 29/9/2018. Total 314 participants (Boys) and 26 participants (Girls) have participated in four indoor games. Outdoor games were organized in current semester on 7th & 8th February, 2019. Students of SRICT have participated in various 17 outdoor games which includes , , , , , , Kho-Kho, Badminton, Sprint-100m, Relay– 4x100m, Long-Jump, Disc-Throw, Short-Put-Ball, Tug-of-War, Seven-Stones, Penalty- Shootout and Box-Cricket. Total 1245 participants (Boys) and 306 participants (Girls) have participated in different games with a spirit of "खेलोगे-पढ़ोगे, आगे-बढ़ोगे". Prize distribution ceremony for winners and runners up of WINSTINCT’19 was organized on 10th April, 2019 at UPL hostel, SRICT campus. Dr. P. A. Joshi (Renowned Professor in the field of Chemical Engineering) and Dr. Sachin Parikh (Professor and HoD, CE Department, LDCE) were invited as Guest of Honour and Chief Guest. Total 27 trophies and 78 medals were distributed to around 400 students for their excellence in different sports games.

70TH REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION The 70th Republic Day was celebrated with all its grandeur at Shroff S.R. Rotary Institute of Chemical Technology on 26th January, 2019. Honourable Chief Guest Rtn. 6TH ANNUAL CULTURAL EVENT REVA FEST-2018 On the 3rd of April, all roads led to SRICT. The excitement among the students was palpable. It was time for ‘REVA FEST 2K18!’. Although academics are important, it doesn’t hurt once in a while to go out and have fun and discover new things, unfold the hidden talent and learn outside the classroom. This annual gathering gave us the opportunities to exactly do so. The mega event was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Navin Sheth, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of Technological University as Chief Guest and Shri Kamlesh Udani Executive Director (Technical & Production) of J B Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd as Guest of Honour. Reva Fest was a unique blend of Exhibition and cultural events and was based on theme ‘Heritage of ’. The red carpet welcome of the guests led to the inauguration of the mega event through unique concept using a well type structure and ‘charkha’. The puppet show was a mode of attraction along with different unique glimpses of Indian village and art and sculpture. Moreover, the exhibition took the visitors through a journey of infrastructure development of SRICT right from 2011. The cultural fest started with a blasting inauguration followed by a unique traditional and holistic dance for Aaradhya devi. The entire event was distributed in Music, dance and Drama fest wherein the interlinking of these events was done by prerecorded commentary by a well- known back stage voice of ‘Mahabharat’ serial i.e. ‘SAMAY’. Shivay, Garba, Rajasthani folk, Dashavataar, Mime, Patriotic dance, drama on superstitions etc were performed by around 200 students and was very well appreciated by the crowd with a youthful cheer of “Once more’ every now and then. The shining academicians who were in the top list of GTU results were felicitated by Hon’ble VC. The best student of the year was also honoured by the guests. Honorable VC in his speech emphasized on bridge to success via strong efforts and he explained it with a very beautiful story printed in Reader’s digest. Shri Kamlesh Udani also emphasized young technocrats to be a good human along with a good engineer. He tagged that Engineering is nothing but common sense and logical thinking. Mr. Ashok Panjwani, Chairman ARES, Mr. Angiras Shukla, Hon. Secretary-ARES, Mr. Kishore Surti, Hon. Treasure, ARES, Mr. B.D.Dalwadi, Dr. P.N.Paramaswaran -Trustees of ARES, Mr. R.D.Mane, President of Rotary Club of Ankleshwar and members of Rotary Club of Ankleshwar etc graced the occasions. . On 7th and 8th Feb. 2018 SRICT held its annual sports days entitled as WINSTINCT 2018.

. The event was marked by a string of spectacular performances presented by around more than 1000 students who were brimming with enthusiasm and sportsmanship.

. The opening ceremony was done by “kick off” which was graced by Principal Dr. Kalyana Sundaram, Vice Principal Dr Snehal Lokhandwala. Our Hon’ble trustee Shri Dr Parmeshwaran and All HOD’s in the presence of other college officials and students.

. The Principal officially declared the sports-meet open and kick off symbolizing the vibrant hopes of the sporting students.

. Various games, total 21 in numbers, were played which included Sprint, Relay, Shot Put Ball, Shot Put Disc, Long Jump, Cricket, Kabaddi, Chess, Carom, Pool/Snooker/Billiards, Table Tennis, Lagori (), , Badminton, Volley Ball, Basket Ball, Box Cricket, , Penalty shootout, Hand ball. The students participated enthusiastically in all of them. Badminton tournament was also arranged on 7th and 8th February, 2018 at UPL Sports Complex.

69TH REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION SRICT observed 69th Republic day of the country with pomp and grandeur amidst the presence of a number of students, faculty members, Rotarians, trustees. Mr. Kishore Surti, the chief guest of the day was offered guard of honor. He hoisted the national Flag which was followed by national anthem sung in chorus. He elucidated us with his words .The music team performed on a handful of heart throbbing patriotic songs. Yousuf Rizvi, final year EST student delivered an awesome speech that took us to another realm of thought. He reminded us the contribution of the freedom fighters to make the country free from British rule. He also meticulously reminded us how far the India of the reality were away from the India which the freedom fighters had dreamt of. It was followed by the prize distribution ceremony. Winners of SCHEMCON, 5S competition, ACCQC were felicitated thereafter. Mr. Ashok Panjwani, Vice Chairman, ARES offered an awesome speech that reminded us our responsibility and accountability needed to hold the nation’s integrity. Prof Kalyana Sundaram, Principal, SRICT offered an enthusing speech. The sword fight team demonstrated their performance. The team performed awesome. It reminded us the vigor and the courage the nation inherits from the ancestors.

71ST INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION On the 15th August, the Indian National flag was hosted sharply at 9:30 am by Rtn. Mr. Ramchandra Mane in the premise of the institute in presence of all the dignitaries like Mr. Sushil Kumar (former vice president, Reliance), Mr. Ashok Panjwani, Mr. Angiras Shukla, along with Principal, SRICT Prof. S.J. Wagh, faculty members, guests and students. Rushi Raval and Koshika Tomar anchored the programme. After that, Music Event commenced at 9:40 am in Seminar Hall 1. The ceremony started with the song entitled “Mera Mulk Mera Desh Mera Ye Vatan” Sung by students like Shivani Trivedi (EST), Darpan Patel (EST), Harsh Prajapati (EST), Akash Joe Mathew (ME), Sudeep Desai, Megha Oza (EST), Keyur Rathod and guitar played by Vishal Prajapati (ME), Shrishay Chauhan (ME) and Dhruv Rana (CT) and tabla by Varun Joshi (CT). The overall music event was coordinated by Kishan Soliya (CT). The poem on patriotism recited by Mrs. Pratibha Gautam awakened the sprout of patriotism within the members vivaciously. Yousuf Rizvi (7th Sem. EST) and Aditya (3rd Sem. CT) delivered awesome speeches on patriotism and the audience felicitated them with rounds of claps. The Prize distribution ceremony was held on the occasion of 15th August at Seminar Hall-1. The anchor of this event was Ravindra Joshi. 5TH ANNUAL CULTURAL EVENT REVA FEST-2017 5th Annual Day celebrations of SRICT was organized at AIA Hall on 31st March ,2017.The fest, Rendezvous with Entertainment and Variety of Arts was inaugurated at the Exhibition counter by the noble hands of our chief guest Mr. Ravi Kapoor, Managing Director, Heubach India limited. After the lamp lighting by the Chief guests, Chairman Rtn. Ashok Panjwani, Secretary, Rtn. Angiras Shukla, Treasurer Rtn. Kishore Surti, and the welcome address by Principal, Professor ShrikantWagh, cultural programs started with the TriveniSangam dance. This was a unique number, where three different talents like singing, dancing and drawing merged into a fantastic experience on the stage. The message of the ARES Chairperson, Mrs. Sandra Shroff was read out by Dr. PurviNaik. A beautiful blend of music, dance and theatre events followed and the audience were enthralled as the talents of SRICT students gradually unfolded. The variety programme entertained the audience tremendously. The outstanding students in academics, sports and other co-curricular activities were felicitated by Mr. Ravi Kapoor. The Principal officially declared the sports-meet open and inflamed Torch symbolizing the vibrant hopes of the sporting student. It was well coordinated by Mr. Jatin Parmar supported by other faculty sports coordinators. Various games, total 19 in numbers, were played which included Sprint, Relay, Shot Put Ball, Shot Put Disc, Long Jump, Cricket, Kabaddi, Chess, Carom, Pool/Snooker/Billiards, Table Tennis, Lagori (Seven Stones), Kho kho, Badminton, Volley Ball, Basket Ball, Box Cricket, Tug of War. The students participated enthusiastically in all of them. Badminton tournament was also arranged on 12th February, 2017 at UPL Sports Complex. The event came to an end successfully after noon on 11th Feb. 4TH ANNUAL CULTURAL EVENT REVA FEST-2016 One of the most anxiously awaited occasions in any college is its annual day. SRICT hosted its 4th Annual day “REAVAFEST’16” to recognize her identity, on 19th March 2016 at AIA Hall, GIDC, Ankleshwar with a lot of enthusiasm and zeal. REVAFEST’16 was organized on theme of “NAVRASA”. Rasa is about human state of mind. It’s about what the mind feels and the expression of the feeling thereafter. Navarasa means Nine Emotions in which Nava signifies nine and Rasa signifies Emotions. The nine emotions included in Navarasa are Shringara (love),Hasya (laughter), Karuna (kind-heartedness or compassion),Raudra (anger), Veera (courage),Bhayanaka (terror), Bheebhatsya (disgust), Adbutha (surprise), and Shantha (peace or tranquility). These are the emotions that human shows according to the situations. The Annual Day is a perfect venue for SRICT students to instill positive values. The function began at 4:00 pm. prior to the commencement of the function the Hon’ble Chief Guest and Mrs. Sandra Shroff inaugurated Exhibition organized by students of SRICT on various technical & non-technical innovation ideas. The cultural programme commenced with a Welcome dance by the graceful girls followed by the auspicious lighting of the lamp by the esteemed guests, respected Principal Dr. S J Wagh, and Coordinator Mr. Praful Chudasama. The two classical dancers presented a Ganesh Vandana dance. This was followed by Welcome speech by Principal Dr S J Wagh and floral welcome of all guests by faculty members. Then began the show where our talented buddies exhibited their talents on the theme “NAVRASA”. This thematic show of talent, imagination and organization was the essence of the evening. Four melodious sole songs was sung by students in Music fest –I. Dance fest-I was started immediately after Music fest –I and four different dances had performed by different dance groups and expressed different RASA. The audience was enthralled by a very well-directed drama. The function was followed by distribution of sports trophies and medals and Best student awards of academic year 2015-16. Mr. Bhavik Mahant (CE- Sem 6th) & Mr. Ankit Mishra (CT – Sem 6th) declared BEST STUDENT of SRICT, 2015-16 and Mrs. Sandra Shroff gave away trophy to the winners. The Chief Guest Mr. M P Aggarwal were felicitated by Dr S J Wagh and Mrs. Sandra Shroff were Felicitated by Mr Praful Chudasama. This was followed by a speech from the Chief Guest Mr. M P Aggarwal and Mrs. Sandra Shroff. The audience was shocked and spellbound by a MIME, Dance Fest –II and Music fest-II and had experienced a lot of fun.

WINSTINCT_SPORTS DAY-2016 SRICT organized sports day on 5th February, 2016 and 6th February, 2016. On 5th February, 2016 Sports Day events were started after inauguration by Principal Sir. In sports day events total 20 numbers of sports (games) were played, in which fun games were also included. Sports (games) played were Sprint, Relay, Shot Put Ball, Shot Put Disc, Long Jump, Cricket, Kabaddi, Chess, Carom, Pool/Snooker/Billiards, Table Tennis, Lagori (Seven Stones), Kho kho, Badminton, Volley Ball, Basket Ball, Box Cricket, Tug of War, Lemon Spoon, Musical Chair. All the participants played with sportsman spirit. Faculty and staff members also enjoyed whole two days events. Badminton tournament was arranged on 7th February, 2016 at UPL Sports Complex. On 19th March, 2016 on the occasion of REVA FEST 2016 prizes were distributed to the winners of sports day.

67TH REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION We at SRICT celebrated 67th Republic Day with high spirit and pride. We remember with deep gratitude the valued contributions of our founding fathers and pay respectful homage to all those who fought for our precious freedom and thereafter contributed to preserve it. PDG Rtn. Ashok Panjwani, Vice chairman, ARES, was the chief guest of function, Rtn. Angiras Shukla, Secretary, ARES, Rtn. Narendra Bhatt Past President, RCA, other Rotarians and parents were the Guest of Honour. Tricolour was unfurled at the hands of Chief guest, Rtn. Ashok Panjwani Ji. This was followed by the National Anthem sung by all our SRICT family members. Students pyramids, patriotic song, dance performance by students were some other highlights of the day. The program started with a pyramid display by the boys from EST department which was well applauded by the audience. Next to it, Principal, SRICT, Professor Srikanth J wagh addressed the gathering by welcome speech. This year we started a new tradition at SRICT to replace floral welcome by planting trees, a certificate of appreciation was therefore given at the place of bouquet. Our chief guest, Rtn. Ashok Panjwani also addressed the gathering and threw light on the importance of the day and our duties towards the country A cultural program was organised by our college students celebrating the greatness of our Motherland. We had a patriotic poem recitation by EST final year student and a speech given by CT 2nd year student. Both the performances were very nice. Next after this we had two beautiful musical performances by students of EST and CT department. After listening to these mesmerizing songs we saw two spectacular and beautiful dance performances by EST girls. Mrs Pratibha Gautam, Asst. Professor announced various prizes for different competitions held in previous semester. Programme ended with a warm vote of thanks given by Dr. Snehal Lokhandwala.

69TH INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION Department of Environmental Science and Technology of SRICT had organized Independence Day Celebrations at SRICT campus. Chief Guest of the event was Shri Ajit Shah. Celebration included Flag Hoisting followed by Tree Plantation, first time in SRICT history. Cultural programmed included patriotic song by students and faculty members of SRICT and award distributed for various categories such as patriotic songs, scholarships, science exhibition, We Accept Challenges, EPC and Book Scholarship. 3RD ANNUAL CULTURAL EVENT REVA FEST-2015 SRICT celebrated 3rd Annual Cultural function entitled “REVA FEST’15” on March 02nd, 2015 at Ankleshwar Industries Association with high spirit and pride. GTU Registrar Dr. J.C. Lilani was the chief guest of the function. Honourable Mrs. Sandra Shroff, Jt. MD, UPL and Chairperson, Managing Committee, SRICT and ARES and Shree N.K Navadia, Ex-president of AIA were guest of honour for the function. Rtn. Ashok Panjwani, Vice Chairman, ARES, Rtn. Angiras Shukla, Hon’ble Secretary of ARES, Rtn. Kishore Surti. Treasurer, ARES, Rtn. Narendra Bhatt, President, Rotary club of Ankleshwar, other respected Rotarians, invited guests from various industries, staff members of SRICT, students and their parents witnessed the displays of our student’s talent. The cultural function began by lighting of lamp and offering prayer to Lordess Saraswati. Our Principal, Prof. Shrikant J.Wagh encouraged students for their efforts and gave us glimpses of the growing SRICT in his welcome speech. The hall was full with a capacity of about thousand people excluding people who were out enjoying food fest organized by Rotaract club of SRICT. Rhythmic musical fest started with Ganesh stuti sung by Jaydeep and program was followed by various other cheerful musical performances. Students also displayed their acting talents through various message conveying mimes like save girl child, swatch Bharat Abhiyan etc. Students were appreciated for their performances and were awarded for various sports activities. Mrs. Sandra Shroff declared Jay Meerchandani (Mechanical Engineering, Semester- IV) as best student of SRICT for academic year 2014-15. Respected Chairman, Mrs. Sandra Shroff addressed the gathering with her motivational speech and appreciated all the students for their efforts. Programme also included various dance performances including Katthak, Kashmiri folk dance, Robotics, Garba, Contemporary etc. Vote of Thanks was proposed by Co-ordinator of the event Mr. Krunal Suthar. Students, staff members and management all together played an active role in making REVA FEST 2015 a successful event which once again proves that within no time SRICT would become one of the leading engineering colleges.

WINSTINCT_SPORTS DAY-2015 can affect an individual’s development of self-esteem and self-worth. It is also known to relieve stress. Here, at SRICT we celebrated sports day on 06-07th February’15 which was coordinated by Mr. Hemant Balsora. Events like cricket, volleyball, kabaddi, chess, table tennis, basketball, shot put, box cricket, discus throw; fun games, 100m sprint, fun games like musical chair, tug of war and Carrom were organized. Being good at sports is a strong social asset and because sport is important to every individual, all our staff members along with students took an active part in all the events. In boy’s cricket tournament, total 17 teams participated and Chemical technology (semester- VI) won the tournament by beating ME-VIII team chasing the target on last ball with 9 wickets fallen. Total 238 students and 30 staff members participated in cricket tournament. Volleyball was won by Mechanical engineering (8th semester students) in a thrilling finale against CE-VI students. Dr. Anjali Bishnoi was the winner in female staff carom match. Basket ball was won by Chemical engineering students. Total 50 students and 30 staff members participated in box cricket and Electrical engineering students won an interesting box cricket tournament. Total 28 students participated in Table tennis competition. Dishant Khatri (EST-IV) won table tennis finals by beating Abhishek Sharma by 2-1. Badminton was held on 8th February 2015 at UPL housing colony 1, GIDC, Ankleshwar from 10:00 am onwards. Abhishek Sharma of 2nd semester chemical engineering emerged as winner defeating Kishan Bodana in straight games of 23-21; 21-14. Faculty members from SRICT Dr. Snehal Lokahndwala and Dr. Nishant Pandya participated in a doubles completion with the finalists. More than about 500 students and about 80 staff members participated in over all sport events. Heavy food stuffs ware provided twice in a day to cope up the stamina. It proved to be a nice break from regular hard working day at work by relaxing and also giving a fresh positive feeling to life.

Tricolour was unfurled at the hands of Chief Guest, Rtn. Chetan Shah. This was followed by the National Anthem sung by all our SRICT family members. Tree plantations, group song by Saurabh and team and prize distribution were some other highlights of the program. Tree plantation program was coordinated by Mr. Urvij Dave. More than eight trees were planted on the boundary on our cricket ground. Group song “Hum Hindustani” gave a patriotic vibe and the song endowed with a charm of its own taking us on a sojourn to the mystical land of the country. Total sixty five students were awarded with book scholarship and around thirty students with Peer Learning Initiatives rewards. Our chief guest, Rtn. Chetan Shah in his address threw light on the importance of the day and explained how Rotaract club can be work actively.

Narendra Bhatt followed by the National Anthem Tree Plantation program was organized by Nature’s club of SRICT on this auspicious occasion which was coordinated by Mrs. Pratibha Gauram. All our guests, staff members and students actively participated in the event. A cultural program was organised by our college students at seminar hall-I celebrating the greatness of our Motherland. A motivational poem was recited by Mr Hemant Balsora which gave a patriotic vibe its own taking us on a sojourn to the greatness of mystical land of the country. Prizes were distributed for various events like slogan competition by Nature’s club and quiz competition by IIChe student’s chapter organized at college. Heet Chauhan was identified as talented photographer of SRICT, who had always captures many memorable moments of college. He was offered memento by the hand of our chief guest. Our students, Shreya and Bansari also presented a duet dance on ‘Vande Matram’. Book scholarship awards were also given to eligible sixty one students of college. Our chief guest, Rtn. Narendra Bhatt in his address threw light on the importance of the day and our duties towards the country. Ankit Mishra proposed vote of thanks to end up the event. Programme ended with a cheerful gathering at high tea.
