The University of Florida’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences offers students the opportunity to study at the University of Glasgow in Glasgow, Scotland. UF students may attend during the fall, spring, or academic year. Requirements/Eligibility • Open to all CLAS majors (Science majors, including pre-medical/dental/vet students, are encouraged to apply) • Required GPA: 3.0 • Students must have completed 12 hours of coursework at UF • Two letters of recommendation (Anyone who knows you well - no family) • Official Transcript • Statement of Purpose • Interview with Dr. Brian Harfe, CLAS Associate Dean • Each applicant must be nominated by UF then apply to the exchange partner as an international exchange student

Location As the UK’s fourth-largest city and one of the world’s top student destinations, Glasgow has loads to offer you. The city is home to more than 20 world-class museums and art galleries; and is proud to have Europe’s largest civic arts collection with works by Dali, Van Gogh, Degas and Monet all available to view free-of-charge in venues around the city. It also has more green space per head of population than any other European city, with over 90 parks and public gardens.

Housing Glasgow guarantees a place in a student residence or apartment as long as you apply on time. There are several self-catering options to choose from, all within a 15-20 minute walk from the campus.

Financial Aid University of Florida students needing financial aid should apply through UF Student Financial Affairs. Normal eligibility for aid may be used while studying abroad as an exchange student. This includes using the Bright Futures scholarship and the Florida Pre- Paid College Plan.

Scholarships For fall, spring, and academic-year scholarships administered by the University of Florida International Center, the deadlines for application are: early March for programs starting in fall; and early October for programs starting in spring. Applications forms are available on the UF International Center web site: www.internationalcenter.ufl.edu

Health Insurance Students will be billed for mandatory international health insurance which includes emergency medical assistance.
