The winner will become the fifth first-time winner on the ATP World Tour this season (see below). Lorenzi is appearing in his second career ATP World Tour final. His previous final came in Sao Paulo on Mar. 2, 2014 (l. to Delbonis). At 34 years, 7 months, Lorenzi is trying to become the oldest first-time winner on the ATP World Tour. Victor Estrella Burgos was 34 years, 6 months, when he won in Quito in February 2015. Lorenzi is also trying to become the third-oldest winner on the ATP World Tour this season, only behind Ivo Karlovic (37y,4m, Newport) and Estrella Burgos (35y, 6m, Quito). Basilashvili is the first player from Georgia to reach an ATP World Tour singles final. The 24-year-old is No. 123 in the Emirates ATP Rankings and he’s trying to become the third ATP World Tour winner ranked outside the Top 100 this season.
