With those 60 watts of power comes 4 analogue, 3 digital and optional Bluetooth inputs so your connectivity is sorted too. Demonstration Tracks At Cambridge Audio we use our ears constantly, both as passionate music lovers and audio professionals looking for test examples. We test our products with all types of content and the following suggestions are our picks for a great demo experience for your customers. 1 2 UNFINISHED SYMPATHY BUDAPEST by MASSIVE ATTACK by GEORGE EZRA Blue Lines (1991) Wanted on Voyage (2014) “Unfinished Sympathy” has a low hertz thundering “rumble” George Ezra has appeared on the Cambridge Audio website as a guest during its introduction, a sonic feature that is evident during artist. The arrangement on “Budapest” is extremely well paced with playback with the CXA60 and yet unlikely to be picked up by elegant, forward vocals and instrumentation to demonstrate the similarly priced competitors. CXA60’s luxurious soundstage. Great British Sound What does ‘British Sound’ mean? To us it’s about removing any barriers that might distort or alter the original recording and not adding any of our own flavour. What you hear from our products is a pure and unfiltered ‘British’ sound – just as the artist intended. 1 Your Music at it’s Best Designing the CXA60 was a challenge that was accepted with open arms by our engineers. We wanted an amp that sounded more musical and energetic than anything we’ve made before. They beavered away for months and after some particularly late nights they eventually nailed it. To achieve this they used some unique engineering techniques, some very premium components, and some great ears for detail. POWERFUL SPEAKER OUTPUT ALPS FILM TYPE VOLUME CONTROL The CXA60 has huge power reserves and can be paired Correct stereo reproduction and sonic accuracy across a variety with a wide variety of speakers. It is able to drive low to high of volumes can be an issue for lesser amplifiers. We’ve used impedance drivers through both speaker outputs, 60 w into an Alps film type volume pot which delivers accurate volume 8Ω and 90w into 4Ω. You can also enjoy two separate zones of control and superb low level channel balance so the volume is musical output - such as your front room and kitchen - with always perfectly controlled across both left and right channels two sets of speaker outputs and a dedicated subwoofer output. at whatever level you’re enjoying. AUDIOPHILE-GRADE TOROIDAL TRANSFORMER In 1968, Cambridge Audio were the first audio company to use a toroidal transformer in an integrated amplifier - the now iconic P40. Toroidal means doughnut shaped and it’s this shape that today makes toroidal transformers an audio industry standard - mainly due to exceptionally low levels of electro-magnetic interference when compared to traditional transformer designs. The central placement of the CXA60’s transformer ensures that components and circuitry can be placed out of the way of any stray interference therefore avoiding damaging hum and distortion. 2 An Amplifier For the Digital World In addition to it’s four RCA analogue inputs, the CXA60 was designed to work in perfect harmony with digital sources from the outset. The result is that any digital music soars to new heights, reveals new depths and can be enjoyed like never before. MULTIPLE DIGITAL CONNECTIONS The two TOSLINK optical and one SP/DIF Coax connectors mean you can connect any digital entertainment device to your CXA60. Instantly upgrade sound from your TV, blu-ray player, games console or CD transport for sound quality up to studio master level. APTX BLUETOOTH COMPATIBLE For users who want convenient wireless connection to their system there’s the optional BT100 Bluetooth dongle. Either plug it directly into the USB port on your CXA60 or use the included extension cable. 24-BIT WOLFSON DAC A Digital Analogue Converter (or DAC for short) has a very Adding Bluetooth capability to your system makes good important job in the signal chain. It reads the zeroes and ones sense from a convenience point of view. FLOATING BRUSHED FINISH CHASSIS On it’s own the CXA60 makes quite a statement with it’s floating effect chassis. Stack it up with other components in the CX family and it becomes the centrepiece of a truly elegant hi-fi solution. Not only does the CXA60 look good, the sleek design encompasses a low resonance chassis that also enhances sonic performance. EASY-TO-READ FRONT PANEL With such a wide variety of inputs it’s important to know what’s going on at a glance. The CXA60’s front panel let’s you know exactly what’s happening in a clear, discreet and stylish way. CLEAR CONNECTIONS Who else has struggled to read an input label while crouching over a piece of Hi-Fi equipment? As a clever touch, the rear connectors on all CX Series Hi-Fi components are labelled upside down as well as the correct way up. In The Press We believe in our products wholeheartedly but don’t just take our word for it. What do the experts think? “A great £500 amplifier that looks and sounds the part – this Cambridge is a big success” WHAT HI-FI - 21ST DECEMBER 2016 “The powerful toroidal transformer in the middle shows where it’s at - quality takes precedence” AUDIO MAGAZINE GERMANY - NOVEMBER 2016 Inside Story We’re located in London SE1, right on the doorstep of some of the most creative, exciting developments in the music industry and our products are designed and engineered in-house. Outside of work we’re musicians, sound engineers and above all music lovers. “A lot of care was taken over the design for both CXA amplifiers to ensure efficiency and good performance. And a lot of care and precision was given to the tuning - even more so than for previous products in a similar price bracket. The CX range of amplifiers were designed from scratch rather than based on existing designs in order to achieve this. The overriding principle was to get top quality performance and sound that would rival competitor products that sat at a similar or even higher price point.” STEPHEN TIZZARD ELECTRONICS ENGINEER Stacking Up CAMBRIDGE MARANTZ ROTEL REGA ARCAM CXA60 PM6006 RA-12 BRIO R FMJ A19 TOROIDAL TRANSFORMER YES YES YES YES YES POWER OUTPUT @ 8Ω 60W 45W 60W 50W 50W DIGITAL TO ANALOGUE YES YES YES NO NO CONVERTER DIGITAL INPUTS YES YES YES NO NO APTX BLUETOOTH YES NO NO NO NO Technical Specification POWER OUTPUT: 60W RMS into 8 Ohms, 90W RMS into 4 Ohms DAC: Wolfson WM8740 FREQUENCY RESPONSE: <5Hz– 60kHz +/-1dB ANALOGUE AUDIO INPUTS: 4 x RCA, 1 x 3.5mm MP3 input (front panel) DIGITAL AUDIO INPUTS: 1 x S/PDIF coaxial, 2 x TOSLINK optical, Bluetooth via BT100 (not supplied) COMPATIBILITY: TOSLINK optical, S/PDIF coaxial, BT100 Bluetooth receiver OUTPUTS: Speakers A+B, 3.5mm Headphone, Preamp Output, Subwoofer Output MAX POWER CONSUMPTION: 600W STANDBY POWER CONSUMPTION: <0.5W DIMENSIONS (H x W x D) 115 x 430 x 341mm (4.5 x 16.9 x 13.4”) WEIGHT: 8.3kg (18.3lbs) Related Products CXN V2 CXA80 NETWORK STREAMER INTEGRATED AMPLIFIER Ultimate digital convenience and quality. • My Love of Music
My Love of Music My name is Gail and I want to share about some of the music and stories of my life. My love of music starting when my Dad's cousin gave the family loads of new records, probably 'falling out a lorry'. Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Animals, Dusty Springfield – I loved playing the records on the radiogram - and a radiogram is a piece of furniture that combined a radio and record player. I loved Tamla Motown, Four Tops, Little Stevie Wonder. Georgie Fame, and on TV watching Ready, Steady, Go, Juke Box Jury. I was listening to the 'Pirates Radio' – Radio Caroline, Radio London, and Radio Luxembourg. The songs that remind me of the 70s I lived in Muswell Hill, and I discovered West End clubs – The Roaring Twenties, La Valbonne, Birds Nest, Gullivers, The Pourbelle, Anabelle, Tramps, Ronnie Scotts, Blues parties, etc., etc., etc. Reggae, Disco, Soca, Jazz and Soul. I worked as a PA for a record company and later worked with the owner of West End clubs and I met a long list of ‘celebrities.’ Stevie Wonder, Bob Marley, Luddy from the Pioneers, The Drifters, George McCrea, The Harlem Globetrotters, Hot Chocolate, Viola Wills, Sex Pistols, Nina Simone, etc. etc. – and we all go to the ‘Kandy Box’ a basement club in Kingsley Street, after-work or show 2 am – 7 am. (even CJ Carlos and Q Club (with Smokey Joe) on Sunday night Marvin Gaye- What’s Going On An album in 1971 helped people to open their minds. About racial, the Vietnam War, drug abuse, poverty and ecological.

20.06.2021 Berlin - Max-Schmeling-Halle* | verlegt vom 10.06.2020 aus dem Velodrom (*Achtung: neues Venue) 30.06.2021 Düsseldorf - Mitsubishi Electric HALLE | verlegt vom 09.06.2020 Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org) Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org).
