Section 2. The object of the Governors State Univer­ sity is to offer such courses of instruction, conduct such research and offer such public services as are prescribed by the Board of Governors of State Colleges and Universities or its successor.

Section 3. The Board of Governors of State Colleges and Universities shall operate, manage, control and main­ tain Governors State University in accordance with the rights, powers and duties now or hereafter vested by law in that Board.
