Available in 7W, these LED MR16s offer an energy saving alternative while providing excellent color rendering with a high R9 value showing more vibrant reds. With the form, t and function of traditional halogen MR16 lamps, these dimmable LEDs are lightweight with a smooth re ector design and provide 86% savings on energy costs. The COB design mimics panel lighting providing crisper, cleaner shadows. Also, these premium LED MR16 lamps are damp location rated and UL 1993 rated for totally enclosed xtures. The USHIO Eurostar™ re ector utilizes a multilayer titanium oxide coating which is much more durable than the standard dichroic coatings. The thickness and application of these coatings ensure that they do not crack or peel under the stress of high temperatures. Eurostar MR16s maintain color from lamp to lamp and throughout the life of the lamp. Beam accuracy and uniformity is controlled by proper alignment of the lamp lament within the re ector. USHIO focuses the lamp lament inside the re ector, thereby optimizing the lamp’s speci ed beam pattern, light intensity, and beam uniformity. There are several reasons for this: One is the balancing of test time and test conditions against proven data before entering the market. Another reason is that every new technology and/or technical system displays “unexpected” or “unknown” behaviors under certain conditions. Third of all, international standards are lagging behind the rapidly changing technologies. Standardization bodies need input and experiences as well as concrete problems in order to be able to adapt and/or expand their standards. Shearing force, SEM, steady-state voltage, steady-state luminous flux, and change of photoelectric performance with aging time were employed to characterize the differences in filament properties between the two welding methods. The shearing test revealed that the average shearing force of the VFW group was higher than that of the DW group, but the two groups followed the standard. Furthermore, the microstructure of the VFW group fault was more smoother, and the voids were fewer and smaller based on the SEM test results.
