Really? Why woud you include expensive places to live if the title of your article was about cheap places to live? What about Belize, Ecuador, Columbia, Nicaragua, Mexico, or Croatia. If I were a 9th grade English teacher I would have given a gratuitous C for this article. 153 5 Replies (3) Crying Tree Oct 1, 2012 10:32PM Vancouver Canada is very expensive. That $1.50 sign at the gas station is liters. You must multiply by 4 to equal a gallon. The grocery store prices will freak you out. Thailand's cities have been that way for as far back as I can remember. I was to young for Viet Nam, but I had friends and met several servicemen who were sent to Thailand for R&R, rest and recuperation, and besides the women of the evening, they all commented on how cheap it was for everything. When I can go, I'll be on my way. The American corportate greed has taken my health care, frozen my retirement amount years ago, and are walking people my age out of their jobs every week. No one has to wish me a goodbye or say hateful things. I'll go willingly to be able to lead a middle class life that is being sucked out of me right now.
