Fareway Food Stores have once again donated $200,000 through their Fareway Gift Card Program to the Iowa Association of Chambers of Commerce (IACC) to help support small businesses in Iowa during this difficult time. “Big businesses do a lot but small businesses are the lifeblood of the community. Fareway is a proud supporter of small businesses”, said Dave Clemen, General Manager of Burlington’s Fareway Food Stores. The Chamber of Commerce, a division of the Greater Burlington Partnership, applied for the grant through IACC. The Chamber received sev- eral gift cards to distribute to small business Chamber of Com- merce members in industries most impacted by the pandemic. “We are thrilled to receive the Fareway Gift Card grant again. As the months have passed, we have seen the toll the pandemic has had on our small businesses, especially in certain sectors”, said Cindy Henry, Member and Guest Services Manager. “Our small businesses make Greater Burlington what it is, a great place to live, work and play. Thanks to Fareway and IACC, we were able to show our appreciation to some of these hard-hit members and their employees.”
