LOCATION Urchfont is one of the prettiest villages in the famous Vale of with its surrounding rolling downland and countryside. The picturebook village is complete with duck pond and fi ne period properties. There is also a junior school, Church, public house, community shop, post offi ce and other local amenities. Planks Yard, on the edge of the village has an excellent tea shop, delicatessen / farm shop, antiques, hairdresser and pilates studio. The nearby market town of Devizes is about six miles away and has several supermarkets, cafes and restaurants as well as a cinema, leisure centre and theatre. Pewsey, where there is a mainline railway station (Paddington around 70 minutes) is around nine miles to the east and there is a mainline railway station (Paddington around one hour) at Chippenham, slightly further to the west. The major centres of Marlborough, Bath and Salisbury are all within a twenty fi ve mile radius. Schooling, in addition to the local primary can be found at for secondary students, and in the private sector there are schools at Daunstey’s, Marlborough College and St Margaret’s and St Mary’s, Calne.

DIRECTIONS From Devizes leave town on the A342 Andover Road, continue along until you reach Lydeway and turn right at the signpost to Urchfont. As you enter the village, turn right at the triangle and follow the road into the centre of the village and take the fi rst turning on the right after the pond, into Peppercombe Lane. Larchcombe will be found on the left hand side.
