A proposal for course revision is expected with each change of course director or with significant changes (>20%) in course topics or instructors. The intent of this form is to provide information necessary for appraisal of course content, pedagogical approaches to conducting the course, and its relationship to and coordination with other courses in the core curriculum or with electives from the same division, other divisions within the School, or other University departments. The Curriculum Committee requests that sufficient information be provided to allow judgment of the merit of the proposed course of study, to compare proposed content to that of existing areas of instruction, and to assess allocation of semester hours to the proposed area of instruction. Where applicable, the information may be provided in the form of a proposed course syllabus. -
