The Biscuits (7-4 second half, 44-37 overall) took a first-inning lead with an unearned run against Nick Neidert (7-5). Left fielder Thomas Milone hit a leadoff ground ball to first baseman Eric Jagielo, whose error allowed Milone to reach first base. Center fielder Nick Solak grounded into a fielder’s choice, before Lowe hit a two-out RBI double to left field. From the second through seventh innings, Neidert faced the minimum 18 batters, allowing a pair of Solak singles but eliminating the baserunner with a double play each time. In the eighth inning, right fielder Nathan Lukes hit a leadoff single and advanced on a sacrifice and wild pitch before being stranded at third base.
