The number of midi-chlorians per cell has been found to correlate with influence in the force (2) and, as such, blood analysis has become common practice for the identification of force-sensitives, particularly by the Jedi Order. However, the genetic basis for increased midi-chlorian replication in force-sensitives is unknown. Here we show drivers to be mutations at both positions 263 and 312012 in Wookiee wookiee midi-chlorian DNA (mdDNA). We anticipate our findings to be a starting point for in vivo studies linking these mutations to force-sensitive phenotypes. Key words: Force-sensitivity, midi-chlorian, single nucleotide variants ! Introduction The need for a powerful army has grown more pertinent in the wake of the rebellion against the Empire. Much research has been aimed at creating powerful fighters for the Sith (3). Sand People, Twi’lek, and Mon Calamari have all been considered, but Wookiees (Wookiee wookiee) are of particular interest due to their intelligence, large size, incredible strength, and unwavering loyalty (4). While powerful in their own right, Wookiees armed with the ability to harness the force have the potential be unstoppable soldiers.

Orbiting the polluted planet is a small, green, moon, a sparkling contrast to the foreboding sphere beyond. A large IMPERIAL TRANSPORT glides into frame. WE follow it, as it rockets toward the Imperial capitol. Four small TIE FIGHTERS escort the larger craft. The web-like structures of two Death Stars under construction loom in the distance as the transport approaches. Resting to one side of the half completed space station is Darth Vader’s super STAR DESTROYER and several ships of the Imperial fleet. One of the TIE Fighters escorting the Imperial transport begins to wobble and drops back with its engine sputtering.

When he was a student, he remembered lining up with his fellow younglings in her office to watch holovids of the great Jedi Masters and on special days, they would get to see one of her prized holocrons.

It will take 12 months to create the experience and bring to life 11 authentic sets with dramatic special effects and dynamic theming, featuring 16 famous Star Wars characters A team of 180 talented Madame Tussauds sculptors, hair artists and colourists are working hard to create the wax figures featured in the attraction Every hair on each wax figure will be inserted by hand – from Yoda’s fine grey wisps to Chewbacca’s mass of brown Wookiee hair – with an average of 10,000 hairs per head Amazingly accurate skin colour for each character will be achieved using over 100ml per figure of oil paint applied by hand The total cost of producing the wax figures alone will cost £2.5 million The smallest wax figures in the experience will be Master Yoda and Salacious B. Crumb o Yoda stands at just 66cm tall and his figure was created using detailed measurements from one of the original Yoda models o Jabba the Hutt’s court jester, Salacious B. Crumb, will be marginally smaller at a diminutive 41.2cm tall and his distinctive ears will be 14cm long The largest figure will be of Jabba the Hutt. 1.5 tonnes of clay is being used to create the figure, which will measure 2.9m long, 1.5m high and weigh in at a whopping 35 stone The hairiest figure will be 2m tall Chewbacca.
