Prevatt on Sunday, July 26, 2020 July 2nd Sarah Z��iga is a New York born singer-songwriter Sarah G. Morang and guitarist who has made Athens, Georgia her July 3rd home. A graduate of the University of Georgia with a Mary Hurst bachelor�s degree in International Affairs, spending July 15th her senior year abroad at The University of Oxford in James J. Milner England, this �guitarist serves up seven pleasantly July 22nd crafted nuggets of melodic folk-pop that rise above typical coffeehouse fodder thanks to Z��iga�s strong voice and Pamela Shropshire thoughtful arrangements�, as reviewed by prestigious Athens� Flagpole July 26th newspaper on Z��iga�s debut album, Someday Soon. Blair Dorminey Ecuadorian and Nicaraguan singer- songwriter, Sarah Z�niga�s shows July 29th are like listening to a fun mix tape compiled of deep-felt and catchy folk- Roy M. Legette rock, and Latin tunes. August 18th "Her music �blends sharp observation with textured Club Leaders poeticism of traditional Spanish folk music.� - Audio Femme, NYC based music blog. James J. Milner From notably packing out Athens� renowned Hendershots� Coffee Bar President to being the first Latin female to headline The Georgia Theatre, to the 40 Club Director Watt Club, main stage Athfest, and some of the south�s more fun music festivals. Sarah has studied acting and music in New York City, instructed Blair Dorminey by veteran professionals from New York University Tisch School of the President-Elect Arts, The Metropolitan Opera, and Broadway. Zuniga has opened up for Club Director acts such as Scarlett Stitch, winners of the Georgia Music Awards for Best Rock Band, critically-acclaimed Americana singer/songwriter Elliot Bronson, and many more. Tiffany McElroy Club Director Latest single, "I Like Knowing You're Around now available on Secretary popular music platforms. In 2017, Z��iga�s most popular Christine S. Waite- single, �People Do Crazy Things For Love�, was a finalist for Morgan the very first annual Vic Chesnutt Award, honoring Athens� Club Director beloved songwriter. In 2018, she performed for the Athens Treasurer Flagpole Music Awards ceremony in the historic Morton Theatre, where she was nominated for best singer/songwriter for the Gerry Taylor year. Just this past year, Sarah was once again a finalist for the Club Director Vic Chesnutt Awards for her song, "What Is Love To You". Her Membership Chair community of supporters helps keep her going! Bulletin Editor Jim Willingham is an Athens musician and Emily K. Escoe reading teacher. Jim Club Director has been playing in Club Programs bands in Athens since Chair 1994. He has written songs, sung, and Kemp Gaskill played various Club Director instruments (though Rotary Foundation predominantly guitar Chair and banjo) in multiple bands. Notably, his Richard J. Leffel album, under the Club Admin Chair moniker, Ham1, won Club Director best local album of the year in The Flagpole in 2005. His band, Ham1, Victoria N. Prevatt toured and backed Vic Public Relations Chesnutt for several Chair tours in aughts of Club Director 2000. In the last ten Pamela Shropshire years, he has led the Family of Rotary local songwriting vehicle/orchestra, Old Smokey in three album Anjela K. Filipova releases. The song, Past President "Open Hood" from Club Director their latest release, won the Vic Chesnutt Song Writer of the Year Michelle E Roberts Contest, sponsored by The Athens Rotary Club for 2020.
