Born from the largest oysters in the world, the silver lip Pinctada maxima, these pearls are generally 10-15 millimeters in size and occasionally reach 16-20mm. Their most distinguishing virtues are their exceptionally large size, rarity, very thick nacre, mesmeris- ing luster and orient. The “silver lip” shell produces naturally white, white rose, silver, or silver rose colors.
