Bob was born and bred in Evesham. He grew up in a house on Greenhill that was built in 1840 as the Cockatoo Inn – first and last stop for a glass of ale. Bob has just published his latest collection of poetry ‘Another Lad of Evesham Vale.’ This echoes the title of the Fred Archer novel published in 1972. The collection features poetry written in the local dialect ‘Asum Grammar’. Bob has also produced a CD to accompany the collection. He has recently been recorded for the Worcestershire Archives.
