 Welcome  St. Barnabas is a Roman Catholic parish of the Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter. The Ordinariate was established by Benedict XVI in 2012 to preserve elements of the Anglican tradition within the in North America. Mass is celebrated according to Divine Worship, also known as the Ordinariate or Anglican Use liturgy.

 CHESTERTON ACADEMY OF OMAHA TO BECOME SAINT BARNABAS ACADEMY At its meeting this past week, the Board of Trustees of the Chesterton Academy of Omaha voted unanimously to formalize the relationship that has been developing over the last three years between the Academy and Saint Barnabas. Effective immediately, the name of the Academy will change to Saint Barnabas Academy. Over the next six months, under the direction of the relevant ecclesiastical and civil authorities, and with the advice of legal counsel, the transition will be made to a true parochial school.

 MUSICAL CHAIRS Our organist-choirmaster, Dr. Thomas Andrews, has accepted a new position as music director at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm, Minnesota. His final Sunday at Saint Barnabas will be July 8. Dr. Page, currently director of sacred music at ’s Parish in Portland, Oregon, has been appointed to succeed him. Dr. Page will be present on July 8 and will take up his duties that week. We sincerely thank Dr. Andrews for his service to our parish during the past year, and wish him and his family every blessing as they prepare for this new chapter in their lives.

 KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS FAMILY GAME NIGHT JULY 8 The Next Knights of Columbus Family Game Night will be on Sunday, July 8 at 4:00 pm at Pipal Park (7770 Hascall Street, Omaha, south of the intersection of 78th Street and West Center Road). Meet any time after 4:00 pm, with dinner 6:00 pm. Stay as late as you want! There are tables, grills, tennis courts, open green space, and playgrounds available.  SUMMER SCHEDULE Please make a note of the summer weekday Mass schedule now in effect: Mass on Tuesday (Traditional Latin Mass) and Thursday at 5:30 pm, and Wednesday and Friday at 12:10 pm. There will be no public Mass on Mondays. Mass is celebrated on Saturday mornings at 10:00 am, followed by Confession until 11:15 am. Unless otherwise noted, Evensong will continue to be offered every Sunday at 5:30 pm throughout the summer.

 CONSTRUCTION UPDATE The final contract on the elevator addition project has now been signed and the permits released by the City of Omaha. Site excavation and demolition of the existing addition on the east side of the church will begin as soon as the subcontractors have been scheduled. After July 8, the undercroft will not be usable (except for the ladies’ room and the Sunday School bathroom, which will become the temporary men’s room). Sunday brunch will be replaced by coffee hour with light refreshments on the lawn in front of Ella Templin House (3919-3921 Davenport Street).
