Oktoberfest may have hit the pause button in Germany this year, but the good folks that run the Cypress of Raleigh Retirement Community decided that they could pull off a micro version of the autumnal celebration in a safe and se- cure manner for the residents. By defi nition the residents are all at elevated risks due to age and other factors, so the establishment management was very concerned about keeping a tight lid on the festivities. At the same time, however, they wanted to add some “spice” to the mix, and concluded that a German car show would be just the ticket to complement the bier and bratwurst. Lots of bier, apparently.
