WAM! 4 Kids 4 Christmas Simple musical script

A Word from the creator

The WAM! 4 Kids releases were created as adaptable worship programs featuring music, dance, props and adaptable drama tied to six specific songs. The intent of these Worship Arts Celebra- tions is to feature all your kids in as many as six worship arts groups: Art, Dance, Instruments, Media, Vocals and Drama.

But with the release WAM! 4 Kids 4 the Word which includes scripture narrations tying seven songs to the Easter story, and WAM! 4 Kids 4 the WAY with both a drama narration and simple “musical” script, we’ve had requests for a similar drama option for WAM! 4 Kids 4 Christmas. And here it is!

This SIMPLE MUSICAL SCRIPT can tie together any or all of the WAM! 4 Kids 4 Christmas songs in one of two settings:

1) a simple radio station 2) a more elaborate TV studio

Using either setting you can still accomodate your choice activites for Dance, Instruments, Media and Art groups and the online Drama Activities listed bdlow and on pg. 2 of this script.

Short dialogue sections in this script allow time between songs to situate soloists, actors, instru- mentalists and facilitate optional costume changes. But keep your actors parallel with the full group to prevent them from upstaging the choir place. This will enhance your worship experience.

You’ll find places to personalize this script with information on your Worship Arts & Music pro- gram or other ministries in an interview with the host preceding the song, “We Worship You.” You could produce with help from the Media group a powerpoint or video to customize this interview or solo presentation. Or you could bring out samples of the Art, Instruments or Media activities cre- ated by those respective groups. Use your imagination to promote your wonderful program!

We hope you will enjoy this new drama option and share with us your success with WAM! 4 Kids 4 Christmas. Kathie Hill

Include these optional scripts/narrations from the Drama Worship Arts Activities for the following WAM! 4 Kids 4 Christmas songs. All resources are available for download at KathieHillMusic.com.

Lavernge: Well, D.J., people are heading in all directions this season sharing the good news of Jesus birth through ministry, outreach and the arts. Families are traveling north, south, east and west. But whatever your direction or destination, be sure to drive carefully... and sing joyously of the Savior’s birth! This is U-Turn LaVergne reminding you “mobile ministers” to stop at the red lights... go at the green lights...and keep moving ahead with NO U TURNS! I like the way the kids teamed up those two great songs. It was a real musical double header! D.J.: Well if anyone knows about teaming up and double headers it would be our W-A-M Sports reporter, P_____ Pig- skin. P______Pigskin: Yep, that was a game changer and all the soloists hit home runs! Who are they? D.J.: Those kids are worship leaders from (your church/ school) ______. P_____ Pigskin: You mean those kids lead worship? D.J.: They just did! You see, anyone who leads our thoughts and hearts to the Savior can be a worship leader.
