The change in status and name of our university will give our teams the challenge of defending the WLU tradition in the field of athletics. I have a great enthusiasm and fierce pride in the WLU Campus and its teams and I hope that the 1973-74 athletic season is beyond all our hopes and dreams. It is our hope, however, that the values of competitive athletics will be shared equally by all "Golden Hawk" team members and our opponents in the Ontario Universities Athletic Association. DAVID C.
