Its liturgical name is Dominica in albis depositis, derived from the fact that on it the neophytes, who had been baptized on the Easter Vigil, then for the first time laid aside their white baptismal robes. Low Sunday is also called by some liturgical writers Pascha clausum, signifying the close of the Easter Octave, and "Quasimodo Sunday", from the Introit of the Mass: "Quasi modo geniti infantes, rationabile, sine dolo lac concupiscite", which words are used by the Church with special reference to the newly baptized neophytes. **** Regina cæli, lætare, alleluia: Quia quem meruisti portare, alleluia, Resurrexit, sicut dixit, alleluia, Ora pro nobis Deum, alleluia. Please be generous. **** In 1955 Pope Pius XII instituted the Feast of St. the Worker to foster a deep devotion to St. Joseph among Catholics, and in response to the “May Day” celebrations for workers sponsored by Communists. This is what Pope Pius XII had to say about St. Joseph as a model for workers: “The spirit flows to you and to all men from the heart of the God-Man, Savior of the world, but certainly, no worker was ever more completely and profoundly penetrated by it than the foster father of , who lived with Him in closest intimacy and community of family life and work.” **** Saint Athanasius of (298 to May 2nd, 373). His episcopate lasted 45 years (June 8th, 328 to his death), of which over 17 were spent in five exiles ordered by four different Roman emperors. St. Athanasius is a renowned Christian theologian, a Church Father, the chief defender of Trinitarianism against . Within a few years of his death, St. of called him the "Pillar of the Church". His writings were well regarded by all who followed, in both the West and the East, who noted their rich devotion to the Word-Become-Man, great pastoral concern, and profound interest in . “The LORD is in his Holy Temple; let all the earth keep silence before Him.” (Hab. 2, 20) St. ’s . Chapter XV (Number 1)

To no purpose, then, is the heretics' customary citation of the Scripture, that "God made Him both Lord and Christ." Let these ignorant persons read the whole passage, and un- derstand it. For thus it is written. "God made this Jesus, Whom ye crucified, both Lord and Christ." It was not the Godhead, but the flesh, that was crucified. This, indeed, was possible, because the flesh allowed of being crucified. It follows not, then, that the is a created being. Let us dispatch, then, that passage also, which they do use to misrepresent, let them learn what is the sense of the words, "The Lord created Me." It is not "the Father creat- ed," but "the Lord created Me." The flesh acknowledgeth its Lord, praise declareth the Father: our created nature con- fesseth the first, loveth, and knoweth the latter. Who, then, cannot but perceive that these words announce the Incarnation? Thus the Son speaketh of Himself as created in respect of that wherein he witnesseth to Himself as being man, when He says, "Why seek ye to kill me, a man, Who have told you the truth?" He speaketh of His Manhood, wherein He was crucified, and died, and was buried. Further- more, there is no doubt but that the writer set down as past that which was to come; for this is the usage of prophecy, that things to come are spoken of as though they were already pre- sent or past. For example, in the twenty-first psalm you have read: "Fat bulls (of Bashan) have beset me," and again: "They parted My garments among them."
