RON BROWN SCHOLAR PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS: Applicant must be a US citizen or permanent resident, Black/African-American high school senior who plans to attend a 4-year accredited college or university within the US. Applicants should demonstrate academic achievement, exhibit leadership ability, participate in community service activities and have a demonstrated financial need. Will need transcript, letters of recommendation and SAT/ACT scores. Further information see website www.ronbrown.org. AWARD: $10,000 annually for four years – total of $40,000. DEADLINE: postmarked by NOVEMBER 1, 2017 – application given early consideration. Postmarked by JANUARY 9, 2018 – final deadline.

25. THE JACKIE ROBINSON FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS: Applicant must be a minority high school senior planning to attend an accredited 4-year college or university within the US. Must be a US citizen who shows leadership potential and a dedication to community service, have evidence of financial need and a minimum SAT score of 1,000 combined math and reading or a composite ACT score of 21. Applicant must fill out the online application which includes 4 essay questions, letter of recommendation, etc. See website for complete instructions: www.jackierobinson.org/apply/applicants/ . AWARD: $30,000 over 4-years DEADLINE: apply at www.jackierobinson.org by FEBRUARY 1, 2018 – 5 pm EST.

26. GE – REAGAN FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS: Applicant must be a current high school senior who plans to enroll in a full-time undergraduate course of study toward a bachelor’s degree at an accredited 4-year college or university in the US, fall of 2018. Applicant must have demonstrated a strong academic performance, attributes of leadership, drive and integrity, and must be a US citizen. 27. RAMAPO COLLEGE OF NEW JERSEY REQUIREMENTS: Ramapo College considers all freshman applicants for merit-based scholarships. Scholarships are based on academic performance and their potential to become active members of the community. Applicant should be within the top 10% of their graduating class with at least a 1250 SAT (reading + math) or 27 ACT score.
