DPH calculates rates per 100,000 population using denominators estimated by the University of Massachusetts Donahue Institute using a modified Hamilton-Perry model (Strate S, et al. Small Area Population Estimates for 2011 through 2020, report,Oct 2016.) Please note: Data for these tables are based on information available in the DPH surveillance database at a single point in time. Case counts for specific cities and towns change throughout the day as data cleaning occurs (removal of duplicate reports within the system) and new demographic information (assigning cases to their city or town of residence) is obtained. 3 Massachusetts Department of Public Health COVID-19 Dashboard – Thursday, October 22, 2020 Count and Rate of Confirmed COVID-19 Cases and Tests Performed in MA by City/Town, January 1, 2020 – October 21, 2020 Average Daily Relative Total Change in Case Count Percent Total Case Incidence Rate Change in Total Total Tests Positive Percent City/Town (Last 14 Positivity Count per 100,000 Case Counts2 Tests (Last 14 days) Tests (Last Positivity3 Days) (Last 14 days) (Last 14 days)1 14 days) Athol 96 <5 2.4 Lower 6233 856 4 0.47% Lower Attleboro 958 78 12.0 Lower 20280 3203 85 2.65% Lower Auburn 289 17 7.4 Lower 9213 1333 18 1.35% Lower Avon 97 7 11.4 Higher 2340 306 8 2.61% Higher Ayer 159 5 4.4 No Change 7111 653 6 0.92% Higher Barnstable 507 24 3.8 Lower 18614 2269 29 1.28% No Change Barre 71 <5 3.9 No Change 2475 335 3 0.90% Lower Becket 17 <5 4.0 No Change 658 74 1 1.35% No Change Bedford 295 12 5.8 Higher 12785 1308 17 1.30% Higher Belchertown 155 9 4.0 Higher 9336 1611 11 0.68% Higher Bellingham 184 13 5.2 Higher 6935 936 17 1.82% Higher Belmont 282 11 2.9 Higher 17801 3160 13 0.41% Higher Berkley 101 11 11.6 Higher 3059 395 17 4.30% Higher Berlin 28 <5 4.5 Lower 1637 258 4 1.55% Lower Bernardston 11 <5 10.2 Higher 1144 190 3 1.58% Higher Data are current as of 8 am on 10/21/2020;
