2021 Internship Posting Congressional Country Club is seeking seasonal Clubhouse Grounds Interns for the 2021 golf season. The 2021 season will be highlighted by the opening of the newly renovated Blue Course. This unique opportunity will allow students to get firsthand experience at one of the most storied clubs in the country and maintaining the areas around the largest clubhouse in the country. Located in Bethesda, MD, Congressional Country Club is the #1 Platinum Club in the country. Congressional has a long history of hosting Championships, host to three tournaments in the last decade alone, including the U.S. Open Championship in 2011 followed by two Quicken Loans National Tournaments. Congressional is proud to continue this history with the announcement of eight more Championships in the next seventeen years as follows: 2022 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship 2024 Junior PGA Championship 2025 KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship 2027 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship 2029 PGA Professional Championship 2031 PGA Championship 2033 KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship 2037 Ryder Cup Job Description: Interns will be involved in the daily maintenance and upkeep of the clubhouse grounds and will work closely with the Clubhouse Grounds Superintendent in floriculture, arboriculture, and hardscape maintenance. Interns will learn fertilizer/pesticide calibration as well as proper application practices to plants. Daily jobs will include but are not limited to irrigation repair, disease identification, water management, push mowing and string trimming. Congressional Country Club prides itself on a positive learning experience for all interns of various skill levels.
