  • Un Bando, Tante Storie Umane La Camera Di Commercio Ci Ha Creduto E I Finanziamenti Sono Arrivati Ai Negozi Di Vicinato Vera Colonna Portante Durante Il Lockdown

Press Release By Venice Canoe & Dragon Boat asd e-mail: [email protected] cell. 334.9566321 e 335.8177188 AURONZO AND THE KAYAK POST COVID-19 EMERGENCY Kayak races confirmed: regional championships at enD of August anD 40th Anniversary edition at end of September. The connection between the city of Auronzo di Cadore and kayaking races will be once again confirmed for 2020. Thanks to some great team work, the main event of the year will be held on the 26th and 27th of September - three months after its original planned date of end of June prior to the Covid-19 emergency. A general trial will be held on Sunday 23rd August when the Lake of Santa Caterina will be host to the Regional Championships of 1000mt for all categories and 2000mt for the Youth categories (10-14 years). “It hasn’t been easy to find solutions” – said the organiser Andrea Bedin – “because the uncertainties were, and still are many. The post Covid emergency obliges us to keep in mind all the government and regional procedures and adapt them to fit the organisation of the events of our sporting discipline. In canoeing we have the advantage of holding the activity outdoors and mainly in single boats. The athlete’s training has begun once again and in the same way in which they were left at the end of February with the difference that we are now in full season. It will not be easy to realise the 40th edition of the International race: with the Italian Canoe and Kayak Federation (FICK) we established a dynamic path which will permit the event to be classified as regional- national-international, adapting to the situations as they arise (opening of regional-national-international borders, possibility of travelling, social distancing, protection etc) and the trend of the virus.

  • The Beginning of High Mountain Occupations in the Pyrenees. Human Settlements and Mobility from 18,000 Cal BC to 2000 Cal BC
Chapter 4 The Beginning of High Mountain Occupations in the Pyrenees. Human Settlements and Mobility from 18,000 cal BC to 2000 cal BC Ermengol Gassiot Ballbè, Niccolò Mazzucco, Ignacio Clemente Conte, David Rodríguez Antón, Laura Obea Gómez, Manuel Quesada Carrasco and Sara Díaz Bonilla Abstract During the last two decades, the archaeological research carried out in the Pyrenees challenged the traditional images of the past in this mountain area. The archaeological sequence of the range goes back and sites like Balma Margineda, treated until recently as an exception, now are seen as part of more global process. Actual data suggest that main valleys of the Pyrenean frequented by humans at the end of the last glacial period, with sites slightly over 1000 o.s.l. After the Younger Dryas, the human presence ascended to alpine and subalpine areas, in accordance with current archaeological data. The Neolisitation process was early in some hillsides, with intense remains of farming and pastoralism in many sites from dated in the second half of the 6th millennia cal BC. Human settlements like Coro Tracito, Els Trocs and El Sardo confirm the full introduction of agrarian activity in the central part of the Pyrenees between 5300 and 4600 cal BC. After 3500/3300 cal BC the indices oh sheepherding rises to alpine areas, with an abrupt increase of known archaeological sites in alpine areas, above the current timberline. This phenomena, as well as the signs of anthropic disturbance of the alpine environment in sedimentary sequences, suggests a more stable and ubiquitous human presence, probably largely associated with the development of mobile herding practices.

  • The “Silent Night” Locations in Tirol Singing Families from the Zillertal Valley Spread the Song Across the Entire World
The “Silent Night” locations in Tirol Singing families from the Zillertal valley spread the song across the entire world The Christmas song “Silent Night” made its way from Oberndorf near Salzburg to Fügen in the Zillertal valley with the help of a Tirolean organ builder. And from Tirol, the song spread across the entire globe: As Tirolean national singers, the Strasser siblings from Hippach and the Rainer singers introduced the song to the rest of Europe, Russia and the USA. Together with the Achensee region, Fügen and Hippach thus make up the three Silent Night locations in Tirol. The Zillertal valley originally belonged to Salzburg and only became part of Tirol in 1816. Beginning in the 18th century, many farmers spent their winters months, when the mountain pastures were covered in snow and agriculture came to a halt, wandering around Europe as cattle or goods traders. They made an additional income by selling produce from home at fairs and markets. Initially, the singing of local folk songs was only intended to increase attention to their offers. But the Tiroleans received so much recognition and admiration that more and more musical families and groups started coming together as “Tirolean national singers”. Soon, singing became even more lucrative than trading itself: The reputation of the Tiroleans preceded them all the way to the European royal courts. Among them were also the Rainer singing family from Fügen and the Strasser family from Hippach, and both carried the “Silent Night” song in their repertoire. Fügen: home of organ builder Carl Mauracher and the “Ur-Rainer” singers One day, Carl Mauracher, an organ builder from Fügen, received the order to repair the organ of the St.
