Sample Itinerary Wild North & Central Highlands Adventure Day by Day Itinerary Day 1 | Welcome to the Highlands Day 1 & 2 Day 2 | Exploring the North Coast Day 3 | To the Cairngorms Day 3, 4 & 5 Arrive and Depart Day 4 | Foraging and Whisky Day 5 | Return Home Day 1 | Welcome to the Highlands Arrive into Inverness this morning where your guide will pick you up from the airport. If you arrive the night before your guide will pick you up from your accommodation. Transfer to Scotland’s north coast. On the way you will stop in at a castle that is not open to the public for a private tour by the Lord who still lives there. Later in the afternoon you will arrive at Kinloch Lodge, the last word in luxury on the north coast and your exclusive wilderness retreat for the next two nights. Overnight: Kinloch Lodge | Tongue Meals included: Lunch and dinner Day 2 | Exploring the North Coast This morning you will head out on a hike of the estate to experience first hand the knowledge of your adventure guide and see the beauty of the vast estate that surrounds Kinloch Lodge. After lunch there are a few options for you to chose from, you can go on a zodiac trip down the Kyle of Tongue to see some of the abandoned islands, you can cycle part of the famous North Coast 500 route or you can relax at the lodge. This evening there will be a whisky tasting with a local expert before dinner. Overnight: Kinloch Lodge | Tongue Meals included: Breakfast, lunch and dinner Day 3 | To the Cairngor ms This morning your guide will transfer you south to the Cairngorms National Park. On the way you will stop for some lunch and perhaps a chance to see the dolphins jumping in the Moray Firth. On arrival in the Cairngorms you will be taken out on the Glenfeshie Estate to see the conservation projects that Wildland are investing in before being taken to your luxury farmhouse accommodation. Before dinner you will be entertained by a local storyteller who will bring the areas myths and legends to life! Overnight: Killiehuntly Farmhouse | Kingussie Meals included: Breakfast, lunch and dinner Day 4 | Wood Carving and Scotch Whisky This morning there is the option to try your hand at wood carving with our local expert. After a lunch out on the hill you will return to Killiehuntly where your guide will take you to a closed door distillery where you will be taken on a private tour by the distillery manager. After dinner tonight some local musicians will play some traditional Scottish music, a fine highlight to the end of your trip. Overnight: Killiehuntly Farmhouse | Kingussie Meals included: Breakfast, lunch and dinner Day 5 | Return Home This morning your guide will transfer you back to Inverness Airport to catch your flights home. Alternatively Aviemore station has regular connections to Inverness, Edinburgh & Glasgow.
