Day by Day – Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Skopje

Arrival to Skopje. Meeting at the airport. Transfer to the hotel. Lunch. Free time at leisure and relaxing after the long travelling. Dinner. Overnight in the hotel. Day 2: Explore Macedonia: Skopje –

Breakfast in hotel. Start the day with the guided tour and sightseeing of Skopje, capital of Macedonia, a thriving modern city with an old bazaar which retained the Ottomans influences. Enjoy the guided walking tour through the charming streets to see the , churches and old Ottomans buildings. Thereafter, depart for Ohrid. Lunch. Proceed to boat trip on Ohrid Lake. Enjoy the view to the Ohrid Lake surrounded with mountains and its shores dotted with monasteries and villages, designated by UNESCO as both Natural and Cultural World Heritage Site. See the Varosh old town and its picturesque old buildings and medieval orthodox churches and monasteries underneath the Samuel’s Fortress, Cinar’s Square and Ali-pasha’s where you can wander café-lined promenades or, perhaps, shop for the famous Ohrid’s pearls. Day 3: Visit of , Albania

Breakfast. Departure to Tirana downtown. Tirana is the capital of Albania, Europe’s last Cold War convert. At landmark of Skender-bey’s Square, see the Et’hem-bey’s Mosque, see the Clock Tower, National Historic Museum and other major sights. Lunch at local restaurant. Free time at leisure. Breakfast in hotel. Continuation of the trip toward Budva, considered as one of the Adriatic’s oldest settlements. Marvel at picturesque “Sveti Stefan”, providing the biggest “wow” moment on the entire coast, an island connected to the shore by a causeway and crammed full of terracotta-roofed stone dwellings dating back to 15th century. Explore the medieval town of Kotor, Venetian-influenced port, and its charming, cobblestone streets and squares. Lunch. A drive along the Bay of Kotor, one of the most spectacular landscapes on the Mediterranean, and the only European fjord outside of Norway. Proceed to the accommodation. Dinner. Overnight in hotel. Day 5: The Pearl of Adriatic – visit Dubrovnik and departure to Mostar

Breakfast in hotel. Departure to Dubrovnik, the pearl on Adriatic. After crossing the border to Croatia, proceed to guided tour with a local expert. See the walled town and walk through the bustling cobbled streets and stone-paved squares of Stradun inside the 16th century bastions. See Onofrio’s fountain, Dubrovnik Bell Towers, Orlando Sculpture, Rector Palace. Enjoy the view to the Adriatic Sea. Departure to Bosnia and Herzegovina. During the trip see through the pass the town of Stolac, a town situated in the south-eastern part of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Rich with , it is a true playground for those intrigued by archaeology and history. The area has been settled for at least 15,000 years, as evidenced by the markings in Badanj Cave, dated 14000-18000 years ago. Vidoski medieval fortress is overlooking the city with its thirteen towers. Lunch at restaurant. Day 6: Mostar-Blagaj – Sarajevo, experience diversity, where East meets West

Breakfast in hotel. Start the morning with the guided tour of Blagaj with local expert who will how you Buna River spring, one of the strongest and most beautiful river springs in Europe, at beneath of 250 m high cliff and near cascades, which make it one of the most beautiful landscapes in Europe, located by dervish sufi tekke. See the old watermills and traditional houses in front of river island. Departure to Sarajevo with stop for a special experience of degustation of roasted lamb with view to Jablaničko Lake surrounded by mountains. Continuation of journey through the scenic route of Neretva River canyon between mountains to Sarajevo. Departure to Bosnia River Spring – Vrelo Bosne. It is a spring and a green park at the source of the River Bosna, one of the country's top natural landmarks and one of the most famous scenes of natural beauty in the region. The park itself is a network of paths and bridges over bubbling streams and small waterfalls and still pools reflecting the leafy surroundings. There are also numerous minor attractions in the park, horse and carriage rides are also offered. A number of animals are kept in the park as well, such as ducks and swans. Sightseeing of Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, organizer of 14th Winter Olympics in 1984, often called The European Jerusalem, where in just a several hundred meters you can find a mosque, an orthodox , a and a Jewish . Day 7: Wonderful Bosnia: Sarajevo – Travnik – Jajce – Bihać

Breakfast in hotel. Departure to Bihać via Travnik and Jajce. Pass through Visoko town and see the pyiramid shape of its Visočica Hill on which they are doing the excavations over the massive blocks on Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun, the first European pyramid to be discovered, located in the heart of Bosnia. Short stop at Travnik, home town of Ivo Andrić, Bosnian Nobel Prize winner in literature, and opportunity to have the coffee at Lutvina Kahva or Plave Vode (Blue Waters). Departure and continuation of journey to Jajce. Upon arrival to Jajce proceed to sightseeing of the impressive Jajce Waterfall, listed as one of the twelve most beautiful waterfalls in the World, located in the centre of the historic of Jajce, known as a Bosnian ‘royal city’. There is also a nice view above the waterfall to old style architecture houses scattered at the slopes of hill up to the fortress at its top. After enjoying this spectacular view, proceed to charming traditional wooden watermills on Pliva River surrounded with greenness. Lunch at local restaurant. Travel to Bihać. Dinner and overnight in hotel. Day 8: Enter to Croatia: Bihać – Plitvice Lake – Zagreb

Breakfast in hotel. After staying in Bihać on Una River, which got name by Romans who got impressed by its uniqueness beauty, proceed to Croatia. Cross the border and to soak in the pure beauty of Plitvice National Park, one of the Europe’s great natural wonders. At this spectacular UNESCO World Heritage site, visit the lakes of crystal clear water in many colorful shades of green and blue which are linked by waterfalls and flanked by primeval forest. Departure and heading to Zagreb. Lunch.
