MAY 2020 Fireworks Set For Friday, June 26 As of this publication date, the City is still evaluating community events, including the family favorite Stars and Guitars. Colleyville’s annual patriotic celebration returns Friday, June 26, to the Colleyville Center. Award winning country artist Joe Nichols is scheduled to headline this year’s event. Depending on how things progress as related to COVID-19, the musical talent may have to change. Regardless of the concert status, we will host a fireworks display that evening at approximaely 9:30 p.m.! Since his career took off, Joe Nichols has racked up six Number Ones and eight Top 10 hits, including chart-topping modern classics like “Brokenheartsville” and “Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off.” He’s a three-time Grammy nominee, an ACM, Billboard, CMA, and CMT Award winner, and his last album offering, Crickets, kept the success going, sending both “Yeah” and “Sunny and 75” to Platinum-certified Number One status. Stars and Guitars is a free event with music and fun for everyone. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and/or lawn chairs and enjoy an evening under the stars. Please stay tuned for more information on the event at Colleyville.com. The Library’s At-Home Delivery Service to Continue During the COVID-19 pandemic, many City departments took the opportunity to re-evaluate the services offered to our residents. While the library was closed and even though online materials were available, many patrons still preferred access to physical books and the sensory adventure they offer. As a result, the Colleyville Library began offering at-home delivery service in early April. The service has been well received with hundreds of requests and additional delivery days added. We are excited to announce this new service will continue moving forward, even after the Library reopens to the public, and continue to look for ways to serve our citizens. This program is available to Colleyville residents with a current library card. To request items, library patrons can visit the Library’s website, www.colleyvillelibrary.com/catalog/home-delivery-request-form.
