  • Ganda Putra Hendra/Ahsan Jadi Pasangan Atlet Tertua Di Olimpiade Tokyo
Mereka bahkan sukses menyabet status juara dalam tiga ajang besar, yakni All England, Kejuaraan Dunia Bulu Tangkis dan BWF World Tour Finals. Berkat prestasi tersebut, Hendra/Ahsan pun berhasil menduduki peringkat kedua dunia sejak Agustus 2019 hingga sekarang. Mereka mengungguli pemain-pemain muda, seperti Li Jun Hui/Liu Yu Chen (China), Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto (Indonesia) dan Lee Yang/Wang Chi-Lin (Taiwan). Dengan menempati peringkat kedua dunia itu, Hendra/Ahsan menjadi salah satu wakil Indonesia yang lolos kualifikasi Olimpiade Tokyo bersama kompatriot sekaligus juniornya Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo/Marcus Fernaldi Gideon.

DAILY UPDATED CURRENT AFFAIRS–17.03.2019 TO 19.03.2019 NATIONAL Expert panel to review OBC ‘creamy layer’ criteria after 26 years The Centre has constituted an expert committee to “revisit the criteria” for determining the “creamy layer” for OBCs which was laid down in 1993. After 26 years, ministry of social justice, on March 8, set up a panel headed by retired GOI secretary BP Sharma, with “terms of reference” which sound radical in their breadth and scope. “Creamy layer” is the section of OBCs that is economically advanced and ineligible for Mandal reservations. At present the limit is income of Rs. 8 lakh PA. 3rd edition of Namaste Thailand festival held in New Delhi The 3rd edition of Namaste Thailand festival was held in New Delhi The festival aimed at strengthening bilateral ties and increasing cultural exchange between India and Thailand. Government increases incentives of Central Government staff for acquiring higher qualifications The Union Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions announced the increase in incentives of Central Government employees acquiring higher qualifications while serving in the job. Till now, the Central Government employees acquiring fresh higher qualifications after coming into service were granted incentives in the form of one-time lump-sum amount ranging Rs 2000 to Rs 10,000. Now with the hike, the employees will get minimum of Rs 10,000 to a maximum of Rs 30,000 as incentives for acquiring higher qualifications like Ph.D, a five-fold increase in one-time incentive. The National Green Tribunal has directed the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) to prepare a noise pollution map and remedial action plan to solve the issue across the country.

Rural Investors and Start-up Conclave (RISC) 2019 held in Hyderabad: Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar inaugurated Rural Investors and Start-up Conclave (RISC) 2019 in Hyderabad. It was held at National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Hyderabad. The purpose of this conclave is to generate new ideas and also see how the government can address the challenges faced by the new startups in rural areas 2. Gujarat launches India’s first ‘Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS)’ to combat particulate air pollution: The State Government of Gujarat has launched India’s 1st trading program called “Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS)” in Surat, Gujarat to combat particulate air pollution. ETS, is a market-based system where the government sets a cap on emissions and allows industries to buy and sell permits (in kilograms) to stay below the cap. For this reason, ETS is also called as a cap-and-trade market. It is designed with the help of a team of researchers from different institutions. Cap-and-trade market: Under this, the GPCB initially determine the total mass of pollution that can be put into the air over a fixed period by all factories/Industries as a whole. A permit is then created in which each is allowed some degree of pollution emissions and the total permit is equal to the maximum fixed pollution emissions. This permit is usually a number/unit that can be bought or sold. Note: Gujarat Capital: Gandhinagar; Governor: Acharya Devvrat; Chief Minister: Vijay Rupani INTERNATIONAL UPDATES: 1.
