Kenneth “Ken” Grieg Maderas Golf Club (Classic) Shortt passed away after a brief battle with brain cancer. He was 71.

An active volunteer and staunch supporter of the Burn Institute, Shortt was heavily involved in the organization’s Senior Smoke Alarm program, and installed the safety devices on an ongoing basis for several years.

Shortt made a big difference in the lives he touched and helped to make our community a safer place in which to live.
