The new generation women across the world have overcome all negative notions and have proved themselves beyond doubt in all spheres of life including the most intricate and cumbersome world of entrepreneurship.Yes, there is a section among women who believe in short-cuts but at the same time there is no dearth of women who are confident ,believe in themselves and have enormous fire in their bellies to take on the best in the business and beat them at their own game. India too has its own pool of such bold and fearless women who have made a mark for themselves both within the country as well as overseas. Their relentless zeal, incessant quench for success and willingness to walk the extra mile have broken all myths about their inborn limitations that were supposed to be major roadblocks on their success expressways. • DEFINATION the Capacity and Willingness to Develop, Organize
DEFINATION The capacity and willingness to develop, organize and manage a business venture along with any of its risks in order to make a profit. The most obvious example of entrepreneurship is the starting of new businesses. In economics, entrepreneurship combined with land, labor, natural resources and capital can produce profit. Entrepreneurial spirit is characterized by innovation and risk-taking, and is an essential part of a nation's ability to succeed in an ever changing and increasingly competitive global marketplace. Differences Between Women and Men Entrepreneurs When men and women start companies, do they approach the process the same way? Are there key differences? And how do those differences affect the success of the business venture? As a woman in the start-up community, I am frequently asked about women entrepreneurs. A popular question is: How are they different from men? There have been many studies of entrepreneurs and start-ups, and I’ve read a number of them. Many of them seem to me to fall short, because the researchers, not being entrepreneurs themselves, lack an in-depth understanding of the entrepreneurial mind. The result is often a lot of statistics that fail to enlighten readers about entrepreneurial behavior and motivation. So what follows are my personal opinions. They are not based on formal research, but on my own observations and interactions with other women entrepreneurs. 1. Women tend to be natural multitaskers, which can be a great advantage in start-ups. While founders typically have one core skill, they also need to be involved in many different aspects of their business.

  • How Indian Cinema Evolved Into Being One of the Most Powerful Modes of Entertainment
Publication: BusinessToday.in Date: 06/01/2019 How Indian cinema evolved into being one of the most powerful modes of entertainment Today, cinema has become one of the most preferred and powerful mediums of communication and entertainment. Movies play a formative role in developing a culture or addressing a contemporary issue. Sanjay Gaikwad It's Christmas and New Year. During the time, Indian cinema always sets a big platform for bringing cheer in people's lives. Today, cinema has become one of the most preferred and powerful mediums of communication and entertainment. Movies play a formative role in developing a culture or addressing a contemporary issue, not just in India but also across the globe. For example, a documentary called 'Harlan County, Unites States of America', directed by Barbara Kopple played a crucial role in bringing the positive change in miners' lives. It was a short film orbiting around a strike against the Duke Power Company held in 1972 by the coal miners. The issue went on for a long period and violence erupted and one of the miners was killed during the strike. Harlan County was filmed during the middle of the chaos, and people still believe that the presence of the crew and cameras had played a crucial role in mellowing down the level of harm it could have created. This documentary went on to win the Academy Award for Best Documentary in 1976. It has also played a role towards addressing the abysmal issues of the mining industry at the national level. Indian Cinema Industry has also evolved in the due course of time since its inception.

Where the English Refused to Tread: India’s Role in Establishing Hockey as an Olympic Summer Sport (Final report submitted to the IOC Olympic Studies Centre in the framework of the 2015 PhD Students Research Grant Programme) By Nikhilesh Bhattacharya PhD Fellow, School of Cultural Texts and Records, Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India Abstract: The evolution of field hockey as an Olympic Summer Sport in the inter-war years was marked by two contrasting developments. England, the home of modern hockey, made a solitary appearance in Antwerp in 1920 (where the matches were held in early September) and won gold but thereafter refused to play while the other constituent parts of Great Britain stayed away from Olympic hockey altogether. On the other hand, India, then a colony under British rule, aligned with countries on the Continent and joined the newly founded International hockey federation (FIH) to take part in the 1928 Amsterdam Games and, over the next decade, played a crucial role in keeping hockey within the Olympic fold. My project examines England’s reluctance, and India’s eagerness, in the light of developments that were taking place in the history of hockey, the Olympic Movement and the world at large. This is the first systematic study of the emergence of field hockey as a permanent Olympic Summer Sport (men’s field hockey has been a part of every Olympic Games since 1928) as it covers five archives in two countries, various online databases and a host of secondary sources including official reports, and newspaper and magazine
