Adaptive Adventures Expo: Is providing an opportunity to try Rock Climbing and Kayaking in a controlled setting for all abilities Separate form needed to be signed the day of event. Participant Acknowledgement of Risk: I am in good physical condition and can safely participate in this event, I acknowledge the risks inherent in any kind of strenuous physical activity such as anticipated in this event and I personally assume all risks incident to my participation in this event. **All Participants will be required to sign a consent for production and use of verbal or written statements, photographs, digital images, and/or audio recordings by VA upon registration day of event. Medals for each event will be given to the 1st through 3rd place finishers. Please Call: (608) 372-1727 General event description: NOTE: If you select a BRACKETTED event you are responsible to be available when your name is called. We will wait 5 minutes and then your heat will be forfeited. Pickle Ball Exhibition-teams – Pickle ball is a paddle sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. Two or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball over a net. Golf Hit-Closest To the Pin - A golf competition with goal to get your ball ‘Closest-to-the-pin’ . Each athlete will have an opportunity to hit 3 balls towards the flagstick (the pin) with the closest ball being the one that will be measured. Staff will measure distance of closest ball after final hit. Placing will be determined by closest to the pin. Fun Run Obstacle Course - Tire Steps, Monkey Bars, Tractor Tire Flip, Tunnel Crawl, “A” Frame Wall Climb”, Medicine Ball Toss, and Low Crawl obstacles are placed along the course. These are designed to test the participant’s physical versatility. The obstacle course will be judged by overall time is takes to finish the course. You can run solo or two at a time. Corn Hole Tournament -Bracket – lawn game in which players take turns throwing bags of corn at a raised platform with a single hole in the far end. Points are scored when a player has a bag on the board or in the hole. Shuffle Board/Bracket - players use cues to push weighted discs, sending them gliding down a court, with the purpose of having them come to rest within a marked scoring area Each opponent alternates shots, and each player has four discs. First to 30 points wins that round or 15 minute game limit. Bowling- Tomah VA will provide bowling balls, ramps, bowling shoes and score sheets. Competitors may elect to use their own bowling ball and shoes. The competition will be based on the total score from one game bowled in competition. Each game will consist of 10 frames. Open and Ramp division Table Tennis/ Bracket- also known as ping pong, is a sport in which two or four players hit a lightweight ball back and forth across a table, over a small net, using a paddle. Event is individual single elimination tournament. Bocce Ball/Bracket-the player tosses a ball towards a target while competing against an opponent. Closest to the target gets the point. This is a timed event. The player with the highest number of total points wins. Archery Targets will be placed 33 feet from the shooting line . Each Archer will shoot 3 arrows. The Tomah VA will supply the bows, arrows, and targets. Slalom-Wheel Chair Obstacle Course- an opportunity to traverse every day obstacles in a wheelchair. Best overall time on the course wins. Bean Bag- Object of the game is to score the most points with 5 bags. Each athlete will play 2 rounds-best of two is the score. Participant will be placed 10 feet from the board if seated and 15 feet from the board if standing. Horse Shoes/Bracket – is a lawn game played between two people using four horseshoes and throwing targets in a sandbox area. The competition will be set up in a single elimination tournament format. .All matches will be played for five innings, each player throwing two shoes per inning. Mini Golf – Tomah VA will provide balls and clubs. Each competitor will compete individually. Gross score will determine placing. The event staff will provide scorekeeping to ensure the integrity of the event. .
