Dear Parents and Carers

Congratulations, we are delighted that you have selected Cheney School and we look forward to welcoming you and your family into our school community.

We hope that you have been able to watch our virtual tour https://www.cheney.oxon.sch.uk/about/6085-2/ and want to provide you with some key information that will help make this transition between primary and secondary school as smooth as possible.

During the coming months, as we prepare to welcome your child into our school, we will visit them at their primary school and will hold discussions with their teachers.

New students will also have two days at Cheney School from Wednesday 23rd- Thursday 24th June to sample a few of their core subjects, meet some staff and familiarise themselves with the site.

On the evening of Wednesday 31st March we will hold a google meet where you will be able to find out more specific plans regarding the transition process and to meet the Headteacher, Head of Student Progress and Transition lead.

If at any point in the future, circumstances change and you decide you do not want to take up your allocated place at Cheney School please could I ask that you contact Admissions at County Council, as soon as possible.

Over the coming months I will continue to be in regular contact with you and will be issuing various forms regarding admission, health and uniform/equipment lists. We are preparing a dedicated page on our website where I will ensure letters, key information and useful emails are all up to date. These details will be shared on the 31st March.
