STUDIO CLASSES & EVENTS JANUARY-FEBRUARY 2020 WELCOME TO THE STUDIO’S ANNUAL RETREAT Feb. 7-9, Hampton Inn & Conference Center, Gardner, KS The Studio Retreat is heading west this year, to a brand-new conference center in a new location. The Hampton Inn in Gardner, KS is stylishly modern and has many gathering spaces, meals served onsite and even a swimming pool to relax around. Gardner is located just off I-35 South, approximately 21 miles (25 minutes) from the Studio. WESTWARD HO, Studio stitchers, for some big-time fun! This year’s guest instructor is Olga Buraya-Kefelian (aka Jazzyknits) Olga’s designs reflect her love of texture with a minimalist approach. Technique-driven elements such as 3-D and modular and impeccably finished knitwear are hallmarks of her classes. And what would be a Retreat without the Studio’s team of outstanding staff and instructors: Alie, Carol, Cindy, Kim, Lynn and Monta. Free-form, mosaic, brioche, brioche mosaic, stranded and texture knitting are all on the schedule, including full 3-hour classes on Friday afternoon. The $245 event fee includes a goody bag, designer showcase, student run- way show and all meals. Classes and rooms are priced separately.
