The e-procurement market place provides an online self service registration facility to such of the firm/company/agency who are already registered with respective participating departments for supply of specified goods and services. 4. A copy of valid Reputed Firms/ Dealers registration copies shall be enclosed along with the hard copies of the tender documents. 5. The tenderer shall hand over the original DD of processing fee to the Curator, Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad or authorized representative directly or through his agent or by registered post or by courier service so as to reach before opening of the price bid. Note: If any tenderer fails to submit the hard copies of Processing Fee DD etc., hard copies of uploaded documents within the stipulated time, the tenderer will be suspended, disqualified from participating in the tenders on “e” procurement platform for a period of 12 (Twelve) months from the date of bid submission. The suspension of tenderer shall be automatically enforced by the “e” procurement system. 6. Eligibility criteria for opening the price bid (financial bid):) : Deleted i. The tenders will be opened by the Director, Zoo Parks,, Hyderabad or his nominee at his office in the presence of tenderer / or their authorized representatives, on the date and time mentioned above. ii. The price-bids of such tenderer, who are determined to have complied with the eligibility criteria, will only be opened. iii. If the office happens to be closed on the dates specified above, the respective activity will be performed at the designated time on the next working day without any notification. iv. Any other details can be had from the office of the Director, Zoo Parks,, Hyderabad as and when felt necessary. INSTRUCTIONS TO TENDERERS A – GENERAL Name of item :- Procurement of chain link mesh and M.S. Angles of TATA Make (ISI) of size 2” x 2” x 8 guage and 4” x 4” x 8 guage for various works in Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad during 2018-19 1.1 The Director, Zoo Parks,, Hyderabad invites tenders for the above work vide NIT No. 04/2018-19/WS, Dated: 14-06-2018 The tenders shall hand over the original DDs to the Director, Zoo Parks,, Hyderabad or authorized representative directly or through his agent or by registered Post or by courier service so as to reach before opening of the price bid and the receipt of the same within the stipulated time shall be the responsibility for any delay or non-receipt. The tenders will be opened by the Director, Zoo Parks,, Hyderabad or his nominee at his office in the presence of tenderers or their authorized representatives, on the dates mentioned in NIT. If the Office happens to be closed on the dates, the opening of tenders gets automatically postponed to the next working date, the time being unaltered, unless extended by a notification published in News papers or sent through Fax/telegrams to all those who purchased the tender documents. 1.2 The successful (L1) tenderer shall furnish the original hard copies of all the documents / certificates / statements uploaded by him before concluding agreement. 1.3 The successful tenderer is expected to complete the supply/work within the time period specified in the Notice Inviting Tender. 2. Firms Eligible to Tender: 2.1 The Firms who i) The Manufacturer possess ISI of TATA MAKE of major manufacturing original equipment‟s for his of their product. ii) The vendor should have minimum (3) years of experience of having supply and sales and services provided to the any one of zoo or similar institutions) in India. 2.2 Firms Ineligible to Tender: i) A retired officer of the Govt. of Telangana or Govt. of India executing works is disqualified from tendering for a period of two years from the date of retirement without the prior permission of the Government. ii) The Vendor who has employed any retired officer as mentioned above shall be considered as an ineligible tenderer. iii) The Vendor himself or any of his employees is found to be Gazette Officer who retired from Government Service and had not obtained permission from the Government for accepting the firm/company/agency employment within a period of 2 years from the date of his retirement. iv) The Vendor or any of his employees is found at any time after award of contract, to be such a person who had not obtained the permission of the Government as aforesaid before submission of the tender or engagement in the firm/company/agency s service. 3. Qualification data of the Tenderers 3.1 The tenderer shall furnish online the following particulars in the formats enclosed, supported by documentary evidence as specified in the formats. Check slip to accompany the tender (in Annexure-I). Attested copies of documents relating to the registration of the firm, registration of GST .The firm/company/agency shall furnish their copy of permanent account number (PAN) card and copy of latest income tax returns submitted along with proof. And A crossed cheque of the firm as a proof of firm account. 3.2 QUALIFICATION CRITERIA FOR OPENING OF THE PRICE BID a) Deleted The tenderer shall submit online, the copies of documents noted in the Notice Inviting Tenbder NOTE: The bidders shall sign on all the statements, documents, certificates uploaded by him owning responsibility for their correctness/authenticity. Bid capacity: 3.3 Even though the tenderers meet the above qualifying criteria, they are liable to be disqualified / debarred / suspended / blacklisted if they have Furnished false / fabricated particulars in the forms, statements and /annexure submitted in proof of the qualification requirements and/or Not turned up for entering into agreement, when called upon. Record of poor progress such as abandoning the work, not properly completing the contract, inordinate delays in completion, litigation history or financial failures etc. and/or Participated in the previous bidding for the same work and had quoted unreasonably high tender percentage and / or 3.4 a) If the percentage quoted by a tenderer is found to be either abnormally high or with in the permissible ceiling limits prescribed but under collusion or due to unethical practices adopted at the time of tendering process, such tenders shall be rejected.

The palace also has some Royale vintage cars, cloths, photos and paintings to showcase. 5. Birla Mandir Birla mandir of Hyderabad is a very huge temple. It took 10 years of construction. It is a hindu temple. The architect of the temple is a blend of Dravidian, Rajasthani and Utkala style.

    LaCONES-CCMB releases guidelines for COVID-19 testing in zoo animals Hyderabad, 21st June, 2021: COVID-19 has been reported in zoo animals in India in the last month. The Laboratory for the Conservation of Endangered Species (LaCONES) of CSIR-Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB), Hyderabad is one of the four designated centres for testing animal samples for possible coronavirus infection. With support from Central Zoo Authority and Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Climate Change, it has released guidelines for zoo frontline on COVID-19 investigation in captive animals. “The guidelines provide detailed protocols that include pictorials and frequently asked questions for an easier understanding of those collecting samples for COVID testing in wildlife”, said Dr. Vinay K Nandicoori, Director, CSIR-CCMB. LaCONES started testing animal samples for possible SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus infection in August 2020. The scientists found the first positive samples from Asiatic lions in Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad in April 2021. In this time, LaCONES team has tried testing for coronavirus using different kinds of – nasal, oropharyngeal, rectal and fecal samples from the animals. LaCONES regularly tests wildlife samples using DNA-based molecular biology tools to solve wildlife cases. These tests are very similar to the ones being used for coronavirus testing. “We hope that our recommendations help the zoo staff in collecting and packing the samples appropriately before they send out to animal testing centres will smoothen the process for the zoos as well as testing centres. Given how difficult it is to get samples from animals, it is all the more important that we make most of the samples we get”, said Dr.

    Hyderabad City: History & Tourism Hyderabad is the capital city of the state of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh of South India. The city was founded on the River Musi by Muham- mad Quli Qutab Shah in 1591. The city is located on the Deccan Plateau and it is the fifth largest city of India. Hyderabad city has a history of nearly four hundred years. All its began with the establishment of the Qutub Shahi dynasty. Quli Qutub Golconda Fort Shah seized the reins of power from the Bahamani Kingdom in 1512 and established the fortress city of Golconda. The history of Golconda goes back to the Kakatiya Dynasty in 11th century when they built a mud fortress on a hill called Golconda. Inadequacy of water, and fre- quent epidemics of plague and cholera persuaded Mohammed, the fifth Quli Qutub Shahi ruler to ven- ture outward to establish the new city with the Charminar at its cen- ter and with four great roads fan- ning out in the four cardinal direc- tions. The capital of the city was Bhagyanagar, which named after a royal beloved Bhagyamati. As she Charminar became the wife of Quli Qutub Shah, the sultan bestowed the title of Hy- 1 der Mahal on Bhagmati and thus was born Hyderabad. The Qutub Shahi rulers were great builders and patrons of learn- ing. Mohamed Quli Qutub Shah built the mosque, whose construc- tion began in 1614 and Aurangazeb completed it in 1687.

    Rotary Friendship Exchange RI DIST 3150 AN INTRODUCTION An Introduction Rotarians of District 3150 have been great travellers over the years ; and also enjoy looking after Rotarians visiting us from other countries. RFE visits have been made with Rotary District - in Poznan, Poland. - in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Typically, a party of around 3-5 Rotarians and partners visits the host Dist rict where they may be hosted by groups of Rotarian families for 3-4 days at a time for a period of around 1-2 weeks. Time is spent in sightseeing, perhaps visits to local industries, and some Rotary meetings and from our experience, lots of parties! The whole purpose of RFE is to foster international friendships and understanding. In some cases, the RFE visit leads to collaboration between Districts on shared projects, perhaps involving WCS or Matching Grants. My home club was involved with a similar project in 2007.     Central Zoo Authority and Indian Zoos: A Current Overview Sally Walker Central Zoo Authority (CZA) (estab. Feb. 1992) is now a dozen years old. The Authority exists at the pleasure of the Central Government, which has reconstituted it four times and will undoubtedly do so again in the immediate future. CZA was set up to tackle many problems, among the most important, the rampant proliferation of zoos without adequate plan or principles, or even financial backing. Many of the then ~ 350 zoos had been set up for political reasons, to satisfy the whims of a Minister or other official and left to deteriorate after the founding function. It is very easy to open a zoo compared to closing one but this task -- closing zoos that could not meet a minimum standard -- was given to the fledgling Authority This was, part of a process, also led by CZA, to provide oversight for zoo management and, after evaluation, to give technical and monetary support and time, so that the zoos could improve. In this process, which is well established today, if the zoos improve sufficiently, they are granted recognition for three years. If they do not improve within a specified time frame they are deemed "derecognised" and must be closed by their state. Only recognised zoo can operate legally in the country. As of this year there are 164 recognised zoos in the country and 90 recently derecognised zoos. Since a few years after the inception of CZA, many other zoos have been derecognised. This article is an update and overview of some of the last year's activities of Central Zoo Authority.
