Primary Competitions Tulloch Trophy – The North & South will run separate qualifying tournaments with a national final. This is a 9 a side competition aimed at P7 & under age group. Normally the qualifying tournaments will be on the 2nd Thursday in May (North) and 3rd Sunday in May (South) with the Final on the 3rd Saturday in June prior to a Senior league game in a Central venue. MacKay Cup - The MacKay Cup is a knock-out competition where teams play either a home or away leg against each other depending on the draw. The final will be played in Fort William (Normally last Saturday in June) prior to a Premier League match, where the winners of the North Section play the winners of the South section to determine the best 12 a side Primary team in Shinty. Secondary Competitions S1 Festivals The North & South will run separate Festivals. This is a 6 a side competition aimed at S1 age group. Normally 4th Thursday in September MacBean Cup - The North & South will run separate competitions with no national final. There will be a trophy for both the North & South winners. This is a 9 a side competition aimed at S2 & under age group. Normally the 1st Thursday in May MacPherson Cup - The North and South will run separate competitions with no national final. There will be a trophy for both the North & South winners. This is a 9 a side competition aimed at S4 & under age group. Normally the last Thursday in March Wade Cup - This is a National Tournament staged at Kingussie. Normally the 1st Thursday in October. This national competition gives schools the opportunity to compete against other schools they would not normally have the chance to play against. This is a 12 aside competition open to the S6 & under age group. Donella Crawford - This is an exclusively girl competition held annually inviting teams from across Scotland. It is a one-off event held at Ardnamurchan High (Normally the first Wednesday in March). This is a 6 aside competition aimed at S1-S6 girls. Girls League - Two Area S1-S6 leagues with two/three rounds. The top two teams from each league go forward for the Cup Final and the other teams from each league going forward for the Shield Final. The finals in Fort William are normally the 2nd Friday in June. .

    The Highland Licensing Board Agenda 6 Item Meeting – 23 June 2020 Report HLB/036/20 No The Highland Licensing Board Functions Report 2019-20 Report by the Clerk to the Licensing Board Summary This report invites the Board to approve the Board’s third annual functions report for publication in accordance with section 9A of the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005. 1. Background 1.1 The Air Weapons and Licensing (Scotland) Act 2015 amended the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005 (“the Act”) to introduce a requirement that Licensing Boards produce and publish annual functions reports. 1.2 As a consequence, section 9A was inserted into the Act and came into force on 20 December 2017. 1.3 Section 9A of the Act states that the Board’s annual functions report must be prepared and published not later than 3 months after the end of each financial year. This means that the Board’s report for the financial year 2019-20 must be published, under normal circumstances, by no later than the end of June 2020. It is noted that under schedule 5 of the Coronavirus (Scotland) Act 2020 that a further 9 months is available to the Board if they are unable to publish their annual functions report by the end of June, due to a reason relating to coronavirus, but that is not required in this case. 1.4 The functions report must include- (a) a statement explaining how the Board has regard to- (i) the licensing objectives, and (ii) their licensing policy statement and any supplementary licensing policy statement (including the Board’s statement under section 7(1) (duty to assess

    Highland Print Studio Throw Up 20.18 Artist Brief Introduction Highland Print Studio Highland Print Studio (HPS) is a printmaking and digital imaging facility based in Inverness in the Scottish Highlands. The Studio operates from its own premises overlooking the River Ness, in the heart of the city and has facilities for a range of printmaking techniques including screenprint, intaglio, relief print and lithography (photo plate and stone). Its recently upgraded digital suite includes facilities for high-spec digital imaging, large-format photographic printing and high-resolution scanning. Highland Print Studio is a Creative Scotland Regularly Funded Organisation and is also in receipt of revenue funding from Highland Council. HPS is a unique and vital part of the arts infrastructure of the Highlands and attracts studio users from across the Highlands and Islands and further afield. In addition to providing an open access workshop, Highland Print Studio has a varied artistic programme. This includes residencies, commissions and professional development for artists and an education and outreach programme that works with schools and community groups across the Highlands. This original project fulfils one of the organisation’s objectives, which is to engage new audiences with the visual arts and to demonstrate how visual art can connect to people’s lives. We are delighted to have formed these new partnerships with the shinty clubs involved and the Camanachd Association. The championship was held on Saturday, September 21 at the 55th Annual Ligonier Highland Games in Ligonier, PA – just east of Pittsburgh. Judging the Nationals were renowned harpers Sharon Knowles and Ann Heymann. It was a successful event, with a full flight of competitors. The championship hosted competitors in four Special Cat- egories as well as solo artists at every level of ability. Many traveled halfway across the country to take part.     Agenda 9 Item Report CIA/14/21 No HIGHLAND COUNCIL Committee: City of Inverness Date: 24 May 2021 Report Title: Bught Park Feasibility Study Report By: Executive Chief Officer Infrastructure and Environment 1. Purpose/Executive Summary 1.1 A feasibility study of the Bught Park facilities has been carried out on behalf of the Council as landowners and the Bught Park Users Group. The study funded by Highland Council and Highland and Islands Enterprise is nearing completion and this report sets out the emerging findings. It is proposed, as reported to Highland Council meeting on 13 May 2021 to include improvement of facilities at Bught Park as part of the UK Government’s Levelling Up Fund bid, so it is considered important to garner the views of the members of this Committee on the emerging findings related to this multi- se Council asset. 2. Recommendations 2.1 Members are asked to:- i. Consider and agree the emerging findings of the Bught Park Feasibility Study; and ii. Note the inclusion of the Bught Park facilities improvement (refurbishment and/or new build for inclusion within the UK Government Levelling Up Fund bid). 3. Implications 3.1 Resource: There are no resource implications arising directly from this report.
