Notes: Changes to the Environment: -Add birdseed or rice to the sensory table. Mix in a selection of whole nuts/acorns (still with the shell) for children to find and count. Provide spoons and bowls for them to transfer the nuts from the sensory table to the bowl for counting. -Add magnifying glasses to the science table so children may observe nature items relating to the season of fall. Encourage children (perhaps through a note/newsletter) to bring in fall seed pods, leaves, etc.. to display on the science table. -Add fancy dress up clothes to the dramatic play area. Add a mirror and an old or play camera for dress up picture studio. Add picture frames, drawing paper and crayons. Special Events: Plan picture day near this week to coincide with the dramatic play area.
